Yesterday I shared a story with y’all regarding the invasion of non-Central Americans into our country. As a matter of fact, you can review the US Border Patrol website and find reports of individuals called “OTMs” — Other than Mexicans — who are being apprehended crossing illegally into our country. Yes, recent reports do state that border apprehensions are somewhat dropping as Mexico is stepping up security operations on their side of the border, due to pressure from the Trump administration. However, there is still a looming issue in Mexico that does have consequences, ramifications, for the United States.
As reported by Fox News:
“Mexico saw a record number of murders in the first six months of the year, with an average 94 killings each day, according to the Mexico News Daily. The news outlet, citing figures from the Secretariat of Security and Citizens Protection, noted that June saw the most murders of any month on record, with more than 3,000 people killed.
The violence has reached such a fever pitch that Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who was sworn into office in December, has decided to send the National Guard to some areas, including Mexico City, a controversial move that critics say will not solve the high homicide rate and will instead lead to abuses. Among the areas in the country with the most homicides are Mexico City, Veracruz, Chihuahua and Jalisco, the news outlet reported.
The state with the highest murder rate is Guanajuato, where the Jalisco New Generation and Santa Rosa de Lima cartels are engaged in a power struggle, according to the BBC. For years, Mexico relied on the military to confront organized crime, in some cases even disbanding local police forces because they had been infiltrated by cartels. The rise in homicides stands in contrast to the vow made by Lopez Obrador’s campaign promise to reduce violence in the country.
Security experts say fueling the rising violence is the fact that many cartels have splintered into factions that have engaged in increasingly bloody battles over control.”
Perhaps there are some of you who remember the Tom Clancy book, and movie, “Clear and Present Danger.” What has to be apparent to us here in the United States is that our neighbor to the south is facing a very dangerous crisis. It is a crisis that presents a clear and present danger for the United States of America: the bloodthirsty tyranny of the Mexican drug cartels.
What is even more disconcerting is that the progressive socialists here in our America, who advocate for open borders, are exacerbating this problem. Actually, their policies are encouraging it!
These drug cartels, who truly do run Mexico, are financially capitalizing on the flood of illegal immigrants seeking entry into the United States of America. They are being flushed with cash by those seeking safe transit to and across our border.
As we shared with y’all yesterday, these drug cartels are using this leftist-created crisis to provide cover for their illicit drug activity and smuggling. I find it to be abject hypocrisy to hear shills such as Julian Castro and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ranting about “deplorable” conditions for illegal immigrants at our border facilities. These same hypocrites seem to say nothing about the travesty of human and sex trafficking that they are enabling.Hypocrisy: Shills such as @JulianCastro and @AOC ranting about 'deplorable' conditions for illegal immigrants at our border facilities, yet say nothing about the travesty of human/sex trafficking they are enabling. But, what is of great concern is that our American cities, and citizens, along our southern border, are being terrorized by these drug cartels who are openly operating on our soil. In many cases, they are using the same tactics to terrorize the populations to gain and maintain control.
I want you to think about this: what we see happening in Mexico resembles casualty levels of a war zone. The fact that there are, on average, 94 killings a day, 3000 in one month, occurring to the south of the United States should cause alarm, and reinforce the belief that we need serious border security, including a physical deterrent.
Ask yourselves: if we shared a border with Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, or Pakistan, how would we respond? Put yourself in the place of Israel, and see how they cracked down on the infiltration of Islamic jihadists into their country. Yet, here we sit in America and share a porous border with a nation that is run and controlled by vicious drug cartels, TransNational Criminal Organizations (TNCOs), who would gladly cooperate with anyone that would pay them . . . including Islamic terrorist organizations. What's happening in Mexico resembles casualty levels of a war zone: on avg, 94 killings/day, 3000/mo, just south of US, should cause alarm & reinforce the need for serious border security, including a physical deterrent. So again, I ask: why would we elect anyone who supports open borders for our country and sanctuary cities and states for illegal immigrants? Our federal government, according to the aforementioned clause from our Constitution, is supposed to protect us from invasion and domestic violence.
Can someone explain how we have criminal illegal immigrant gangs operating in our country? How is it that here in my home state of Texas we have these TNCOs operating freely? This is a well-known fact, just talk to the people living there. That is something that none of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus members addressed when they conducted their scripted photo-op at the border in McAllen, Texas. How interesting that these elected officials just flew in with their prefabricated talking points, but did not find the time to stay overnight and conduct a local townhall meeting. Then again, the attendees said the meeting would have vetted individuals asking pre-approved, scripted questions.Criminal illegal immigrant gangs: something NONE of the Congressional @HispanicCaucus members addressed when they conducted their scripted photo-op at the border in McAllen, TX. How long will it be before there is an increase of violence along our border in Texas cities? These drug cartels are savage and barbaric. Just look at MS-13 gangs. They represent a new type of mafioso that will take a dedicated effort to defeat.
They are a clear and present danger, and how funny, these progressive socialists want to disarm legal law-abiding citizens, like those in Brownsville, Laredo, McAllen, Harlingen, while they champion open borders.
Explain to me again, why do we elect these charlatans?
