Ask Allen: Our Constitution; Labeling Terrorism

From Athens, Greece today, I am answering your “Ask Allen” questions. Today’s mailbag has queries about the Constitution — great for Consitution Day! — and a question about the Muslim Brotherhood.

When an elected office takes their oath of office to uphold and defend the Constitution and then they go directly against it, why are they not removed from office. Seems to be a direct violation of their oath of office and our Constitution. — Charles G., Homestead, PA

Greetings from Athens, Greece, Charles!

Yours is truly an integral question for the future of our Constitutional Republic. First of all, just saying that bewilders folks, as there are far too many who describe America as a democracy. Being there in the birthplace of democracy, what a great time for you to pose this question. As a Constitutional Republic, we have a rule of law, our Constitution, and our elected officials do, indeed, take an oath to protect it.

As a matter of fact, that is what makes our military unique in that our men and women in uniform do not take an oath to an individual, or a political party. They swear an oath to the document that defines our nation, our Constitution.

Democracy is just a process of engagement of the people in the ability to decide upon their governance. Jefferson referred to it as the consent of the governed. But, what happens when we no longer teach civics — meaning our Constitution — and the responsibility of educated and informed voters in the democratic process? Yes, you got it, you get the government you deserve. How do we remove elected officials from office who do not honor their oath, we vote them out. But, when we do not teach the fundamentals of our Republic, then folks can come along and present different, “fundamentally transformative” principles of governance that are not congruent with our founding principles, values, and rule of law.

Yes, they can create legislation that is based upon an ideological agenda, such as the Equality Act, and violate our individual rights, freedoms, and liberties as prescribed in our Constitution: FISA courts, open borders, sanctuary states and cities, Red Flag Laws, illegally mandating individuals purchase a private-sector commodity under penalty of taxation (the individual mandate of Obamacare).

No, there is no immediate mechanism to remove these said elected officials . . . other than engaging in our right to vote them out, a right reserved to citizens — which some of these charlatans believe should be a right to those illegally in our country. So, what we need in America is simple: informed, educated participants, citizens, who realize that we have a Republic . . . only if we can keep it.

Karen has a question about “The Squad” and the Muslim Brotherhood:

Why do we continue to allow the Muslim brotherhood & The Squad in our government? Why are we not enforcing our 1952 McCarran Walters Act chapter 2 Section 212? Thank you for your Service. God bless you and your family, and keep you safe. — Karen C., Waterloo, IA

Howdy, Karen!

I have often asked why it is that we have yet to designate the Muslim Brotherhood an Islamic terrorist organization, along with their affiliated groups freely operating in the United States?

One only needs to read the Muslim Brotherhood strategic memorandum written in 1991 by Mohammed Akhram, uncovered in an FBI raid of a home in Northern Virginia in 2004. You can view it here; it is a short, but disturbing read. You then will ask, Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot, why are allowing this undermining of our country, our Republic, right before our eyes?

Now, as for individuals such as Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, or even Linda Sarsour, along with the leadership of organizations such as the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR), MAS, MSA, and ISNA . . . they are the result of this strategic memorandum and the goal of “civilizational jihad.” As well, we have allowed radicalized enclaves to take root in America, under the misguided concept of multiculturalism and “tolerance.”

Whenever I see one of those “Coexist” bumper stickers, I just shake my head. Read some of the quotes from CAIRs Executive Director, Nihad Awad, and ask yourself, is this freedom of speech, freedom of religion, or just plain ol’ sedition?

But again, understand that these people have risen to power in these United States because of enablers. Linda Sarsour has been granted an integral position in the Bernie Sanders campaign and was the chief organizer of the Women’s March. She’s said some doozies. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib have known associations with Islamic terrorists and organizations, something we wrote about on our website. Yet, these two members of the US Congress possess high-level security clearances that they could not pass a background check to receive . . . that is if they went through normal processes. See, as members of Congress, they are automatically granted these security clearances, regardless of known associations.

With regard to the McCarren Walters Act, I would say that the Obama administration knew exactly what it was doing with the increase of Muslim refugees while denying same to Christians — Assyrians, Chaldeans, Copts, and, yes, Yazidis who were being horrifically targeted and persecuted by Islamic jihadists. We need only look at what Angela Merkel’s insidious decision has done to create homegrown domestic Islamic terrorism, no go zones, and other adverse results all across western Europe. I often say, “when tolerance becomes a one-way street, it leads to cultural suicide.”

I am reminded of the quote by Roman statesman, Marcus Tullius Cicero:

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Of course, the immediate recourse is to vote out those who seek to proliferate an Islamist radical agenda. And that is why I find it so very interesting that the progressive socialist left embraces the Islamo-fascist ideology…then again, perhaps we should not be surprised. We all know that the left in America circles their collective wagons around Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, very telling.
