The Battle for the Black Vote

In Culture, Front Page, US Politics by Allen WestLeave a Comment

If you have not been paying attention, the progressive socialist left is trying to assert that COVID-19 is having a disproportionate, adverse, effect on American blacks. Last week we addressed this topic in a missive that presented the real cause. However, the left needs to continue to promote the victimization theme for blacks, especially those in urban population centers. They claim that it is a lack of quality housing, being densely populated, poverty, and other ills that enabled COVID-19 to have a greater effect in inner-city minority communities.

But, what does the progressive socialist left — the party of the jackass, Democrats — always fail to say? They fail to say that they have been in control of these major population centers for nearly six decades. Okay, some leftists will say that NYC had Republican mayors. Yep, and crime went down if you want an honest comparison between Guiliani and David Dinkins.

However, the real hypocrisy of all this is that the left complains about the urban centers, yet, they offer no solutions…and actually reject viable solutions. What the left wants is not to improve the situation for Blacks in these modern 21st-century economic plantations. No, they wish to have it continue since the new crop being grown is voter patronage instead of cotton this time around.

Dem Democrats gotta keep dem Black folk on dat plantation. Don’t believe me?

As reported by the Washington Post:

“Two liberal political action committees plan to launch a $3 million digital campaign aimed at engaging young black voters, targeting those who appear to be open to voting for President Trump or a third-party candidate.

Priorities USA and Color of Change PAC intend to launch the effort in several key battleground states within the next few weeks, getting an early start at trying to convince skeptical or unenthusiastic black voters whose participation will be crucial if Democrats hope to limit Trump’s tenure to one term. Priorities has done online surveys over the past several months that indicate a larger share of young black men view Trump favorably than do African American women and older black male voters.

Trump’s campaign, and some Republican Party activists, have pointed to polls from last fall that showed him with a higher level of approval among black men and say they will compete for those voters. During his State of the Union address in February, Trump invited several black people as guests, who he used to illustrate his administration’s efforts to address prison sentencing reform, school vouchers and economic development in low-income neighborhoods. In November, the president held a Black Voices for Trump rally in Atlanta, which drew a few hundred Republican and conservative elected officials and activists.

African Americans soundly rejected Trump in 2016, with only 8 percent supporting him. But exit polls showed him getting 13 percent among black men, more than three times the support he got from black women. And even though most polls show the vast majority don’t support his reelection, liberal groups are concerned that even a small uptick in his support or a repeat of low turnout numbers from four years ago could work in Trump’s favor.

Guy Cecil, chairman of Priorities USA, said that some young black men are more open to the notion of supporting Trump because they view Democrats with “skepticism” and that there was “some sort of opening” to Trump’s message, which has touted low unemployment numbers and criminal justice reform. But, he noted, “among African Americans and Hispanics across all age groups, we’ve seen Donald Trump’s approval rating decline over the last three weeks,” which Cecil attributes to concerns about the racial and ethnic disparities in serious infections and deaths due to the coronavirus.”

So, let me get this right: the left has created two new PACs with the intended purpose of convincing young blacks, primarily men, to stay on their plantation. Perhaps they would love to see more Michael Browns? Do these two PACs want more decimation to the black family? Do these leftist PACs want more gang violence? Do these two Democrat PACs want more pre-born black babies murdered in the womb? What, 20 million is just not enough? Do these real “sellouts” want more black unemployment? Heck, I don’t recall the left creating any new PACs when Barack Obama canceled the DC school voucher program. What, y’all thought I forget that?

What utter hypocrisy! It is shameful, and for any black person taking part in this charade, you are indeed the new “overseers” of the leftist economic plantation.

Yes, President Trump has delivered on his challenge to the black community of “what have you got to lose?” Well, what do the Democrats have to lose? They will lose their stranglehold. They will lose the ability to keep their boot on the necks of blacks trapped in their vision of despair, despondency, and dependency. President Trump could very well win 20-25 percent of the black electorate vote in November. The Democrats know what that will do to their power.

In February, we released my new book, “We Can Overcome: An American Black Conservative Manifesto.” I know that I will never get interviewed on BET, Ebony, Essence, Jet, or any black radio station. These charlatans fear truth and challenge. Of course, Oprah Winfrey will never recommend my book on her reading list. Why? Simple, they are enlisted to keep de colored folks on that plantation. Blacks on the left take great joy in denigrating, disparaging, and demeaning blacks who refuse to be victims, and have escaped the left’s economic plantation.

Priorities USA and Color of Change PAC, y’all disgust me. But, then again, my ideological mentor, Booker T. Washington aptly described you.

“There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”

His autobiography was titled “Up From Slavery,” and, sadly, there are those who promote and advance economic enslavement.
