If you have not noticed, the progressive socialist left does a really good job of dismissing minority conservatives, especially black conservatives. Don’t believe me? Just take a trip through the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC and see how much is said about Justice Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Shelby Steele, General Colin Powell, or Condoleeza Rice. As a matter of fact, Rutgers University uninvited Condoleeza Rice, asserting that she was not accomplished enough to be their commencement speaker . . . yet, they had Snooki as a commencement speaker.
The writings and thoughts of early black conservatives like Frederick Douglass and Booker T. Washington are all but forgotten. That is one reason why I have partnered with the Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) to establish the Booker T. Washington Initiative. And why TPPF re-released the famous autobiography of Booker T. Washington Up from Slavery, for which I was honored to write an updated foreword. You can order a copy here.
See, if there is one thing that the left wants, it is the “herd mentality” that is evidenced by the young female student at Northwestern University asking me if I “identified as black.” Being black is supposed to define how I think, as part of the collective, ready to be subjugated to the “group-think” of the left. And if you are one of those, well, “uppity Negroes,” who supposedly cannot read, and decides to think for yourself, well, there are consequences, ramifications, for escaping the progressive socialist left’s ideological and economic 21st-century plantation.
And it appears that another round of punishment is about to be issued to a prominent black conservative.
As reported by the Washington Times:
“A Detroit high school named after Trump cabinet official Ben Carson is at risk of being renamed following a measure approved by the school board Tuesday night.
The Detroit Board of Education voted 6-1 to begin the process for possibly renaming four buildings in the district, including the Benjamin Carson High School of Science and Medicine and the Frederick Douglass Academy for Young Men, Fox News reported.
The measure means the district will hold community meetings and solicit public input for whether the schools should be renamed and what their new names should be. It doesn’t necessarily mean each school will be renamed.
Board member LaMar Lemmons is pushing to rename the Ben Carson school, which was named after the retired neurosurgeon and Detroit native before he joined the Trump administration as secretary of Housing and Urban Development, The Detroit News reported.
Residents “don’t support the [Trump] administration,” Mr. Lemmons told The Detroit News. Any possible changes likely won’t be announced until at least the next academic school year, he said. “We don’t want to be premature,” he said. “The community will have input and influence the process.”
And you ask why I say School Board is the most important elected position in our nation? So, it doesn’t matter what you achieve in your life as a black person . . . if you are a conservative. Shall I remind you that recently we shared a Facebook post that evidenced a move to remove the name of Justice Clarence Thomas from buildings?
See, this is how the white supremacists of the Democrat party roll, enabled by their plantation overseers, like LeMar Lemmons. This is the reason you have black leftists supporting organizations like Planned Parenthood, founded by a white supremacist and racist named Margaret Sanger. If you are, well, like me, to point this out and dare to think differently, ya know, that perhaps the murder of nearly 18M unborn black babies is a genocidal travesty, you’re the one denigrated, disparaged, demeaned, and demonized. After all, how dare you, colored boy or girl, fail to do as Mr. Charlie and Missy tell you to do?
And we will show you that if you do not do what our white masters demand, we shall erase your name, your accomplishments, your very existence. Oh boy, what happens when one day the truth about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. being a registered Republican gets out? Will the unthinkable happen? Nah, probably not, but you can bet that you will never see any monument to the first black members of the US House of Representatives and Senate, all Republicans. In case you did not know, there was a book written about them called Capitol Men. I know, since one of them. Florida Republican Representative Josiah T. Wells and I are the only black Republicans ever to represent the state of Florida in the US House of Representatives.
This is a sad state of affairs in that we have a very dedicated censorship policy in place, a system of revisionist history. We are witnessing an effort to define being black based upon nothing more than your individual acquiescence to a particular political ideology. Think about it: how many schools do we have named after Barack Obama? Yep, the same Barack Obama who canceled the DC school voucher program for qualified underprivileged minority, read black, kids. Oh yeah, ol’ Barry Soetoro and Michelle sent their girls to prestigious Sidwell Friends while denying that same opportunity to black kids in DC . . . how charming. We named schools after Barack Obama, a man who supports Planned Parenthood and its systematic killing of unborn black babies. Margaret Sanger referred to blacks as “weeds” and “undesirables” — ain’t that just swell?
Yet, according to LaMar, we don’t need no school named after someone who works with Trump, ’cause we don’t like Trump. Yes, folks, a mind is indeed a terrible thing to waste.
Let me leave you with these esteemed words from the great Booker T. Washington:
“There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”
I think Booker T. Washington adequately describes ol’ LaMar Lemmons, chucklehead.
