It is beyond unconscionable to me that we have this progressive socialist cast of characters running to lead our country, yet care little about the ever-present threats facing our Constitutional Republic. Instead, they think the weather is the enemy.
Now, of course, I can already hear the denigrating responses: flat earth society member, troglodyte, climate change denier, just to name a few. But, let me ask y’all a question: remember back when we were kids — at least, those of you who are my age — and we were supposed to be reentering an ice age? Heck, I’m confused. According to these leftists, I was going to once freeze to death, now I am going to sweat to death. Then again, any changes in our climate — ya know, winter, spring, summer, and fall — is because of climate change.
Darn, I even remember when we were all going to starve to death. Y’all know that movie “Soylent Green” with Charlton Heston and Edward G. Robinson? That movie’s ending still freaks me out. The problem today is not a lack of food, but the means of distribution. As we saw in Somalia, control of food is used as a means to exert one’s control over others.
In the last Circus de Socialiste — aka the Democrat (socialist Party debates — a few weeks back we witnessed, some in abject disbelief, when the clown car contestants all raised their hands to provide free healthcare to illegal immigrants. Yes, they sincerely admitted that they would take from legal, law-abiding American citizens, and provide to those here illegally.
So, ask yourselves, how could anyone of these progressive socialists actually be president of something they do not believe should exist? Even ol’ crazy Joe Biden has been infected with the leftist virus! After all, if you are for open borders, then you are not for this Constitutional Republic, these United States of America. They are just running to be head of a place, a piece of land, to rule.
One thing for certain: part of their tyranny is to control means of economic production, and that is what this whole absurdity called “climate change” is all about. It is the left’s latest fearmongering scare tactic to force us to succumb to their control.
As reported by Fox News:
“Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., on Tuesday compared the push to combat climate change to the response to the attack on Pearl Harbor as he unveiled legislation that would declare a “climate emergency” and demand a massive-scale mobilization to tackle it.
“In some ways . . . I’m reminded today in terms of the crisis that we face in climate change about where the United States was in 1941 when it was attacked at Pearl Harbor, and what happened at that point, having to fight a war on two fronts in the East and in Europe, the United States came together and within three years it had created the type of armaments program that was necessary to, in fact, win the war,” he said in a conference call with reporters.
He went on to argue that fighting climate change was do-able, but it needed greater political will in Washington D.C. — particularly from President Trump, whom he called ignorant on the issue. “So I don’t think the issue here isn’t that we can’t address this problem, i think we can, I think we know exactly what has to be done, and that is massive investment in sustainable energy, massive investments in energy efficiency, transform our transportation system, we know what has to be done, but the problem is the lack of political will,” he said.
He made his remarks as he, along with Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Earl Blumenauer, D-Ore., was set to introduce a non-binding resolution in Congress to declare a “climate emergency” that calls for a “massive-scale mobilization to halt, reverse, and address its consequences and causes.”
Ocasio-Cortez said that the U.S. has fewer than 12 years to act to combat the crisis, and echoed Sanders’ sentiment that it was a question of political will, rather than how to act.
“We know that the scientific consensus is here, the solutions are right in front of us but…this is not just a scientific crisis, not just an environmental crisis, a climate crisis but this is a political crisis of inaction, and it’s going to take political will, political courage in order for us to treat us this issue with the urgency that the next generation needs in order for us to preserve our way of life and preserve our planet as much as we possibly can,” she said.
Okay, I will give it to them, has the earth been warming, yes, and from what I have read, in the past 150-200 years it has warmed 1 degree. Heck, there have been several historical periods of warming, climate change, whatever they call it, long before there were SUVs or airplanes. That is not the disagreement. What is questionable are these models the leftists are using to scare us. And, I must admit, Al Gore said 20 years ago that we had 20 years to go. Now Ocasio-Cortez, the highly intellectual former NYC bartender tells us we have 12 years to go. I am still waiting on that plan to build a railroad to Hawaii. Talk about a bridge to nowhere.
No, conservatives are not the ones who are ignorant. We just recognize another wacky progressive socialist wealth redistribution scheme when we see one. So did the people in France, who firmly rejected President Macron’s desire to raise the price of gas in order to combat climate change. As a matter of fact, all without the help of ol’ “feel da Bern” and Ocasio-Cortez, the United States has reduced its carbon emissions. But, when one reads that worthless piece of paper called the Paris Climate Accord, the true violators, China and India, are not targeted at all. But, somehow, the United States is responsible, and on the hook, to transfer our wealth to other nations. That, my friends, is just a bunch of leftist, globalist, hooey.
What is most damaging for the progressive socialist left are the incessant over-the-top rhetorical comparisons they use. You mean to tell me, “climate change” is the same as the Japanese attack on the US Naval Base at Pearl Harbor and World War II? These mindless lemmings are comparing the “day that will live in infamy” and the commitment of this nation to defeat Japanese imperialism, Italian fascism, and National Socialism (that is what the term Nazi stood for) to their insidious wealth redistribution scheme they call climate change?
Dang it, how demeaning and disparaging to the World War II Memorials all over our country, and the Iwo Jima memorial. How utterly dismissive these “useful idiots” (Vladimir Lenin’s words) would relegate our Greatest Generation to an ideological sideshow of their misguided creation.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Exhibit A, evidence as to why the left will come to a crashing defeat next year November. They are offended by the Betsy Ross flag, the same one that flew at Barack Obama’s inauguration. They are comparing those brave men who landed 75 years ago on the beaches of Normandy, those who were victorious at Midway, who scaled the wall of Hacksaw Ridge on Okinawa, to mobilizing to fight the weather. How shameful and disrespectful. Our border patrol agents who are risking their lives to do their duty and keep us safe are being compared to the German SS and the concentration camps — death camps — that they operated. They refer to 911 as the day when “some people did something,” and tell us climate change is our greatest threat?
No, I cannot comprehend how anyone could lend their electoral patronage to these people. Then again, who would have ever thought an athlete representing the United States would use an expletive in reference to the White House.
Yep, “the times, they are a-changing.”
