Allen West Old School Patriot Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearing

Democrat: Synonymous With Delusional

Sorry, but I am not apologizing if you think the title of this missive is harsh. After yesterday’s Senate Judiciary opening to the hearing for Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, complete with demonstrations by Senate Democrats, and those in the chamber, there is no better description.

I remember a very appropriate line from Clint Eastwood in the movie The Outlaw Josie Wales. When Eastwood’s character, Josie Wales, was cornered by several Union soldiers, in a Texas border town — of course he gunned them all down — he was asked a question by his compatriot, Chief. He asked him, “how did you know who would draw first?” Josie Wales replied, “I knew it would be the one with the crazy eyes.” In watching the antics from yesterday, and recorded replay, I watched the eyes of Senate Democrats Booker, Klobuchar, Harris, Blumenthal, and thought of the line from that movie. I watched the antics of those who were removed from the chamber, trying to see their eyes, but their mouths told me all I needed to know, along with their contortions.

As reported by Fox News:

“Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearing was overtaken by political theatrics on Tuesday, as Democratic lawmakers and protesters delayed the formal start of proceedings by more than an hour – and Republicans fired back by touting Kavanaugh’s credentials and decrying the breach of decorum.

The spectacle underscored the political nature of the confirmation hearings, coming two months before the midterms and as some senators gear up for a possible 2020 presidential run against President Trump. Several of those senators led the charge Tuesday in objecting to Kavanaugh.

Within moments of Tuesday’s kickoff, top Democrats tried to sideline the session with a rapid-fire string of objections concerning access to the nominee’s records.

When Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley first tried to deliver opening remarks, Democratic California Sen. Kamala Harris raised objections to the committee just receiving a batch of 42,000 documents relating to the nominee’s work with past administrations.  “We cannot possibly move forward,” Harris, a potential 2020 Democratic presidential contender, said. Grassley told her she was “out of order,” but other Democrats chimed in to back up Harris, including Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., who moved to adjourn.  This prompted applause from some in the audience, and touched off protests and shouting. Then, after New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker added his voice complaining of a “rush,” Grassley countered: “I think you are taking advantage of my decency and my integrity.”

I find it disingenuous, and offensive, that these delusional Senate Democrats think we’re so stupid as not to remember that the Obama administration claimed “executive privilege” during the confirmation of their former Solicitor General, Elena Kagan. Not to mention that the Obama administration claimed the same privilege on other occasions, especially relating to the Department of Justice, and Attorney General Eric Holder.

Judge Kavanaugh has over 300 decisions, and has heard over 2,000 cases in his 12 years as a judge on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals. Judge Kavanaugh even has the endorsement and support of the most leftist group, the Trial Lawyers Association. The delusion of the progressive, socialist left was on full display, just as we wrote about yesterday. Sadly, that was not a surprise to anyone.

The antics about needing to read documents? Well, let us not forget “we have to pass the bill in order to find out what is in it.” If that standard was good enough for the Democrats with Obamacare, well, we can just go ahead and confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh, and find out what happens later. The confirmation hearing for Judge Kavanaugh should not be delayed. Let me share a little secret with y’all: the folks up there on Capitol Hill do not read all those thousands upon thousands of pages, like Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, or massive omnibus spending bills. These Senate Democrats have had all the time they need to read the decisions of Judge Kavanaugh in order to understand how he  the interprets the law per Article III  of the Constitution.

However, there is a greater lesson we should glean from the despicable behavior of the Democrats yesterday. This is how they act in the minority. Imagine how they would rule, and act, if they were in the majority? There is only one way to send a message to the progressive, socialist left, the Democrat party, and that opportunity comes the first Tuesday in November.

Just to be clear, there is no one, and I mean no one, that the Democrats would accept as a Supreme Court nominee from President Donald Trump. If the Republicans had behaved in the same manner with the nominations of Sotomayor and Kagan there would have been cries of racism and sexism.

Senator Blumenthal, a person who lied about serving in Vietnam, said that this hearing process is tainted. Yes, I agree! The Democrats have tainted it. They have already come out and said they are voting “nyet.” They care little about Judge Kavanaugh’s qualifications. All they care about is their ideological agenda. The delusion of the Senate Democrats reminded me of a spoiled brat child throwing a temper tantrum in the grocery store cereal aisle. Does America really want to have tantruming children in the majority on Capitol Hill, in either of our legislative chambers? Do we really want to give into spoiled brat children, and let them have the cereal they want: our votes?

If you were disgusted with the behavior of the Senate Democrats yesterday, let me give you this image: Maxine Waters as Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez holding a subcommittee hearing in the House Foreign Affairs Committee, on Middle East policy. Rep. Bennie Thompson of Mississippi holding a hearing as the Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee on the future of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. Consider those crazy eyes of Rep. Adam Schiff of California as the Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Yes, I could go on and on, but perhaps we will have Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi having a ceremony to recognize that “spark of divinity” in those MS-13 members.

If you want more of the delusion that you witnessed yesterday in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, go ahead, vote for the party of delusion: the Democrats. Now, I’m sure I’m going to hear that there are folks who are good Democrats, who do not agree with what was displayed. Fine, #WalkAway! I have plenty of issues with the Republican party — mainly centered around their progressive tendencies when it comes to curtailing government spending — and principled courage. However, I ask our readers a simple question: who would want to be associated with a political party that is unhinged? Who would want to be associated with a political party that embraces a domestic terrorist group like Antifa with their “no borders, no walls, no USA at all” rhetoric? Who wants to associate themselves with Black Lives Matter? And please, I, along with other constitutional conservatives, want no association with white supremacist groups. Funny, the Democrats embrace an organization founded by a white supremacist, Planned Parenthood, started by Margaret Sanger.

Just as a recap, the Democrats went into the hearing yesterday with the full intent to disrupt, and delay, the proceedings. We all know that Senate Democrat leader, Chuck Schumer, held a conference call demanding such. That was a destructive, dangerous, demeaning, and denigrating objective, one that does not reflect the attitude, or behavior, of an adult.

Just as an aside: what was Nike thinking with that Kaepernick stunt? They lost $3.7B in market share yesterday. That decision was also delusional. Hmm, someone in their marketing department needs to be fired — former US Army Ranger and professional football player Pat Tillman would have been a better representative of the “Just Do It” 30th anniversary. Another example of delusion is not depicting Neil Armstrong planting the American flag on the moon in an upcoming movie. It will tank, and there is no explaining it away, that was a historic American moment of exceptionalism.

Delusion, like mayhem, seems to be everywhere, and there is no doubt, it is emanating from one source — the Democrat [Socialist] party. Vote for those folks, well, that is even more delusional . . .
