Last week the DNC Chairman, Tom Perez, announced that Fox News will not be allowed to host a Democrat [Socialist] presidential primary debate.
First of all, just imagine what the outcry would be if, back in 2016, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus had made a similar statement about barring any other liberal progressive media outlets from hosting a debate? We all remember how abjectly disgusting the CNBC GOP Presidential primary debate was. Heck, as a matter of fact, there was more angst towards Fox News after their hosting of a GOP presidential primary debate. Anyone remember the Megyn Kelly fallout?
As reported by Fox News:
“Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Ed Rendell has criticized his own party’s move to block Fox News Channel from televising any of its debates in 2020.
Rendell, the former governor of Pennsylvania, slammed the decision during an interview on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” on Thursday night.
“I think it’s a mistake for the DNC to do what they did. If I was DNC chair – and I think Tom Perez is doing a good job – but if I was DNC chair, Laura, I would say, ‘give me Bret Baier, Chris Wallace, and Juan Williams and you can have that debate anywhere, anytime, any number of times.’ “I’d be confident it would be fair,” the onetime Philadelphia mayor added.
“If we could pick the commentators and the moderators, I think we should have the debate on Fox. Because let me tell you, even if you persuade three percent of Fox viewers, three percent last time out carries Michigan.”
Ingraham then showed a clip of Perez during a CNN interview saying he “wants to make sure the debates are focused on the issues,” before airing highlights of Wallace and Baier grilling President Trump during a Republican primary debate and presidential debate in 2016.
“Those are all examples, of course, of Fox News anchors being more than tough and probably fair with President Trump, candidate Trump,” Ingraham said. The interview came just hours after Fox News urged the party to reconsider the decision.
Earlier in the day, Perez announced the party would not allow Fox News to host primary debates, claiming they would not be “fair and neutral” forums for the candidates.
“I believe that a key pathway to victory is to continue to expand our electorate and reach all voters,” Perez said in a statement to The Washington Post that cited a critical article in The New Yorker.
“That is why I have made it a priority to talk to a broad array of potential media partners, including Fox News. Recent reporting in the New Yorker on the inappropriate relationship between President Trump, his administration and Fox News has led me to conclude that the network is not in a position to host a fair and neutral debate for our candidates. Therefore, Fox News will not serve as a media partner for the 2020 Democratic primary debates.”.@DNC Chairman @TomPerez stating that he wants their primary debates to be 'fair and neutral' is like a fox telling a chicken that it is a vegetarian. DNC Chairman Tom Perez stating that he wants their primary debates to be “fair and neutral” is like a fox telling a chicken that it is a vegetarian. The assertion by former DNC Chairman Ed Rendell that they would get to pick the commentators is even more absurd. Perez wants to reach all voters? What a line of bovine excrement. I suppose Perez has no problem with the incessant hammering emanating from the liberal progressive news media outlets assailing President Trump? Yes, the same news media outlets that turned a regular blind eye to all the transgressions, unconstitutional executive orders, lies, deceit, the unleashing of the IRS against conservative grassroots organizations, and the abandoning of Americans to die in Benghazi Libya. But, according to the vegetarian fox, Tom Perez, that is what “fair and neutral” is all about.
The very apparent bottom line here, folks, is that the new American socialist party cannot sustain any scrutiny. They do not want to be asked tough policy questions. They just want a fawning love fest where they can espouse all of their leftist blather, unchallenged.
I will never forget watching a video of CNN commentator Wolf Blitzer singing and prancing around at the Hillary Clinton coronation back in 2016. “Fair and neutral” Mr. Perez? To think that these progressive socialists want to pick the folks who question them, well, imagine the chicken asking the fox, would you prefer baked, fried, or smothered in gravy?
What Tom Perez and this cast of characters, masquerading as presidential candidates, desire is ideological domination. Just think about this question: “how do the socialist policies you are offering differ from those Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro advanced in Venezuela?” Oops, sorry, that is not a “fair and neutral” inquiry as deemed by Tom Perez, and you can bet that he would want to see every question that would be asked . . . and maybe even provide them to the leftist candidates. Don’t laugh, that is what Donna Brazile did, and what were the consequences? Crickets.
Progressive socialism cannot face honest debate, and it never wants to. I would truly love to see Maria Bartiromo, Charles Payne, and Stuart Varney host a debate . . . but that dog don’t hunt for the progressive socialist left. They want a cheering section and affirmation, not hard questions about their insidious, and dangerous, policies.
The left wants to rule, not govern, and that is why they do not want any real debate. Socialism cannot face scrutiny. Socialism is rooted in abject failure and ignorance. As Winston Churchill stated, “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”
So, who wants to debate about making people miserable? I have an idea for a DNC presidential primary debate, let it be hosted by liberty loving Venezuelans!
