Why I’m Glad Hillary Clinton Hasn’t Gone Away

In Democrats, Front Page, US Politics by Allen WestLeave a Comment

I do not know if Ms. Clinton is in need of relevance, but at some point someone should advise her that no one cares, and that she is embarrassing herself. That massive, and onerous, political machine that was once the Clinton’s has faded into oblivion. I suppose there is some hope for Chelsea, but don’t hold your breath.

Mrs. Clinton is remembered as a loser, and a failure. She lost two bids for President, and she was an utter failure as Secretary of State. Yes, she earned many airline travel miles, but we all will never forget that she was the SecState when Americans were abandoned for 13 hours in Benghazi, and an Ambassador was murdered by Islamic jihadists — then again, “what difference, at this point, does it make?”

Mrs. Clinton’s parting gift, for which she will always be remembered, is her lack of integrity. Having a private email server to conduct classified business of the United States, and lying about it, will not be forgotten.

So, why would such a person pen an essay, the day before Constitution Day? Why would any media outlet publish it? As featured in The Atlantic:

“It’s been nearly two years since Donald Trump won enough Electoral College votes to become president of the United States. On the day after, in my concession speech, I said, “We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead.” I hoped that my fears for our future were overblown.

They were not.

In the roughly 21 months since he took the oath of office, Trump has sunk far below the already-low bar he set for himself in his ugly campaign. Exhibit A is the unspeakable cruelty that his administration has inflicted on undocumented families [illegal immigrants] arriving at the border, including separating children, some as young as eight months, from their parents. According to The New York Times, the administration continues to detain 12,800 children right now, despite all the outcry and court orders. Then there’s the president’s monstrous neglect of Puerto Rico: After Hurricane Maria ravaged the island, his administration barely responded. Some 3,000 Americans died. Now Trump flatly denies those deaths were caused by the storm. And, of course, despite the recent indictments of several Russian military intelligence officers for hacking the Democratic National Committee in 2016, he continues to dismiss a serious attack on our country by a foreign power as a “hoax.”

Trump and his cronies do so many despicable things that it can be hard to keep track. I think that may be the point—to confound us, so it’s harder to keep our eye on the ball. The ball, of course, is protecting American democracy. As citizens, that’s our most important charge. And right now, our democracy is in crisis. I don’t use the word crisis lightly. There are no tanks in the streets. The administration’s malevolence may be constrained on some fronts—for now—by its incompetence. But our democratic institutions and traditions are under siege. We need to do everything we can to fight back. There’s not a moment to lose.”

Okay, pardon my interruption, but, really? Our democratic institutions, and traditions, are under siege because of President Trump? Mrs. Clinton is writing this during all the nonsense going on with the Judge Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearing? Mrs. Clinton says nothing about the criminal illegal immigrant gangs roaming our streets? Mrs. Clinton says nothing about the threats, intimidation, and violence of fascist groups like Antifa?

Our democracy is not in crisis because of President Trump, but our Constitutional Republic is indeed in crisis because of the progressive, socialist, left and their ideological agenda. When you have a dedicated effort to undermine the sovereignty of our nation, you do have a crisis. Incompetence? That word is best reserved for the former Obama administration that could not achieve a 2% GDP, and drove our nation into financial, fiscal, and economic ruin . . . not to mention a foreign policy rooted in stupidity, in which Hillary Clinton took part.

Mrs. Clinton asserts there are five points relating to the crisis of our Democracy:

“As I see it, there are five main fronts of this assault on our democracy. First, there is Donald Trump’s assault on the rule of law. Second, the legitimacy of our elections is in doubt. Third, the president is waging war on truth and reason. Fourth, there’s Trump’s breathtaking corruption. Fifth, Trump undermines the national unity that makes democracy possible.”

Okay, I do not know whether I should laugh, or refer Mrs. Clinton for a psychological evaluation, perhaps both. Barack Obama stated that he had a pen, and a phone. What could be more detrimental to our rule of law? Let me remind Hillary Clinton of Obama’s unconstitutional DACA executive order. The legitimacy of our elections is not in doubt. We know that the progressive, socialist, left cheats.

No, we do not have a pure democracy, and we do not decide our presidential elections via the popular vote, solely. Why? Because we want all of our states to have relevance. President Trump is waging war of truth, and reason. This assertion is coming from a person who has a real problem with truth . . . Hillary Clinton. Breathtaking corruption? Ma’am, please, the Clinton Foundation, and its pay to play money laundering operations that resembled a mafia operation? Hmm, should we ask the people of Haiti about you, and corruption? Lastly, undermining national unity? Mrs. Clinton, did you say anything about the fatwa issued by Mad Max Waters? I have not seen any progressive socialists being refused service, attacked at restaurants, or beaten by constitutional conservatives.

Sadly, no, Hillary Clinton is not ever going away, but I am glad about that. I am glad that Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden are out there ranting. It serves to remind us exactly why Donald Trump won. It was not so much about him . . . but it was about rejecting the aforementioned triumvirate of disaster. Mrs. Clinton called us all ‘deplorables,’ and that is supposed to advance national unity? Joe Biden has now termed us “dregs of society.” Yep, that promotes national unity. So, please, all of y’all, keep talking, keep writing, because you are just encouraging us to come out in droves this November.

The eight years of Barack Obama’s administration were a crisis for these United States of America. Mrs. Clinton, we are not in a crisis, we avoided it by not voting for you, the embodiment of political elitism, and corruption.
