Last week I shared with you a ruling by Federal Court judges who upheld a New Jersey law that will restrict the number of rounds a person may have in their semi-automatic pistol. I articulated that I found it astonishing that these black-robed judicial activists found it lawful for the government to tell law-abiding citizens how many rounds they are allowed for their own self-defense. With this being the case, you can bet that if the government says you can only have 10 rounds, then why not five, or maybe ya only need one. It is amazing to me that the simple words “shall not be infringed” are so hard to understand for these so-called “learned” people.
It is equally amazing that we do not hear much about how firearms save lives. As a matter of fact, the leftist gun control mob stopped talking about the Sutherland Springs, Texas, church massacre once it was uncovered that the government failed in its responsibility. Then a real truth bomb hit: the person who stopped the shooter was an NRA trained firearms instructor and he used an AR-15. His name is Stephen Willeford. Not too many have heard of him, but the leftist progressive media made sure we all knew who David Hogg was.
I just want to share with you a little story that I was surprised to see the AP News print. As reported by AP News:
“An inmate who had escaped minutes earlier from a county jail in South Carolina was shot and killed by a woman after he kicked in her back door, the local sheriff said. The inmate was still in his orange jail jumpsuit and had grabbed a knife sharpening tool from the woman’s kitchen in Pickens as he headed toward her bedroom around 3 a.m. [last] Tuesday, Pickens County Sheriff Rick Clark said.
“This was a big guy. If she hadn’t had a weapon there’s no telling what would have happened,” Clark said. “I gave her a big hug. I told her how proud I was of her.”
The woman was home alone and had gone through training to get a concealed weapons permit, Clark said. Bruce McLaughlin Jr., 30, died from a gunshot to the head, Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley said.
McLaughlin and a second inmate, Timothy Dill, beat up two guards in an escape they had planned for days, Clark said at a news conference.
McLaughlin had been in and out of the Pickens County jail about a dozen times on charges ranging from drug possession to assaulting a police officer to shoplifting. He was currently awaiting trial on first-degree burglary and grand larceny charges, according to sheriff’s office records.
The sheriff said the homeowner was shaken by the shooting and asked him to help her maintain her privacy. He did not release her name. Clark said he thinks the shooting is justified but will forward the case file to prosecutors once the investigation is finished.
“This is the shining example” of why owning and knowing how to use a gun is important, the sheriff said. “She came out on the good on this end and the other guy, the bad guy, didn’t,” Clark said.”
This is what Michael Bloomberg and all these other gun control chuckleheads to do not understand. Many of them live with 24/7 armed protection. This woman does not, along with many other American women who must fend for, and defend themselves.
Who are these elitists who would tell this brave woman that she cannot have a firearm, or that she can only have so many rounds in her firearm? She does not live in a gated, walled community with armed security. Just the same as many American women who work late night shifts, or have to go out into dark parking lots at night should not have black-robed judicial activists deciding their fate.
This is why the National Rifle Association, founded in 1871, with the purpose of improving rifle marksmanship, exists. It is the nation’s oldest civil rights organization because the NRA defends the Second Amendment for all legal, law-abiding citizens. And that began with the endeavor to protect recently freed slaves from the tyranny and horrors of the Ku Klux Klan, founded by the Democrat party.
And today, the National Rifle Association fights to preserve that all-important Second Amendment right which ensures we, individuals, can protect our first unalienable right, Life. As I always say, “an armed individual is a citizen, an unarmed individual is a subject,” and tyrannical, progressive socialist, governments have always preferred subjects, unarmed sheeple.
There are two specific programs that the NRA offers to women: Refuse to be a Victim and Women on Target. Now, based upon this report of the what happened in South Carolina, it appears that this courageous woman fits the title of these two programs to a “T.” And why not? Why should women believe they must be victims when it comes to assaults? Why can’t women believe that they can be just as good, and on target, as men? Doggone, this woman in South Carolina put a round to this guys head, as he deserved it. She was calm and confident, and that is what the NRA Women on Target program teaches. It is taught by certified women instructors for women.
Now, I just gotta ask Mikey Bloomberg and little Andy Cuomo what they have against an organization that has a weapons proficiency program for women? Maybe women from all over the country should call them up and ask them just that single question. To me, what they are attempting to do in destroying the NRA should be seen as racist and sexist. After all, they would prefer blacks living in inner cities under the specter of gang violence, and women, to be unarmed victims. Tell me what could be more racist and sexist? Especially for two white men who have detailed around the clock armed security?
We will never know the identity of the woman who showed moral courage, strength, and confidence in defending herself in South Carolina. However, possibly someone who reads the Old School Patriot knows her and will give her a hearty “Steadfast and Loyal” from me. Ma’am, God’s blessings be upon you. You did the right thing! You are a true woman of Sparta, an armed American woman with the right to defend herself.
