How do you prevent someone from doing something illegal, illicit, and corrupt? Simple, you hold them accountable and ensure there are consequences for their actions. This is a simple lesson that any parent of a child knows. As the Pavlovian experiment proved, “if you reward bad behavior, you will only get more bad behavior.” And, so it is as 2018 comes to a close. Once again the corrupt and illicit behavior of the Democrats, aka Mobocrats, will go unpunished, no one will be held accountable.
As reported by Fox News:
“House Republicans unceremoniously ended their investigation into the way the FBI and the Department of Justice handled Hillary Clinton’s email scandal and the bias allegations against President Trump.
The House probe was led by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and the Judiciary Committee and sought to look into allegations that the FBI and the DOJ were biased against Trump during the 2016 presidential election and favored Clinton’s candidacy.
Two Republicans chairing the committees – Reps. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., and Robert Goodlatte, R-Va. – said in a letter Friday that the DOJ must appoint a special counsel to investigate the “seemingly disparate treatment” of the investigations into Clinton’s use of private emails and Trump’s alleged ties to Russia. The letter came less than a week before the Republicans formally lose control of the House to Democrats, while both Gowdy and Goodlatte are retiring from politics.
The Democrats have long criticized the Republican-led probe as a distraction from Mueller’s Russia investigation, with U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, a California Democrat who sits on the House Intelligence Committee, taunting Republicans for their unceremonious end of the probe.
“This is how the House Republican effort to undermine Mueller by ‘investigating the investigators’ ends. Not with a bang, but with a Friday, buried-in-the-holidays whimper, and one foot out the door,” he wrote in a tweet.”
At this time of the year, many people are making New Year’s resolutions, mostly about getting in shape. If there was one resolution for the GOP, it should be to find their courage, get some cajones, develop a spine.
Once again the Democrats got away with it and the Republicans did nothing! Even in the minority, the progressive socialists of the Democrat party are vicious, tenacious, and relentless . . . and the Republicans remind me of the cowardly lion from the Wizard of Oz.
Okay, how can it be that Republicans held the White House, Senate, and House of Representatives for two years, but could not hold the left accountable? I mean how much damning evidence does one need? Let’s remember all those names: James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Paige, Bruce Ohr, Nellie Ohr, Christopher Steele, Fusion GPS. Why weren’t charges brought forth against any of these individuals? How can it be that someone can have a private email server in their own residence — conducting classified information, destroy subpoenaed government property, and email transmissions — and not be held accountable? Why was it that Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin were granted immunity?
Ask yourselves: why would Republicans agree to a special investigation of their own Republican president? Doggone Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid would have never done that to Barack Obama . . . and God knows there were plenty of valid reasons to do so.
Yes, these weak, feckless Republicans do indeed deserve the ridicule of that useful idiot Rep. Adam Schiff, who will now be the Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. That is oxymoronic, emphasis on moron.
Who was in charge over in the DoJ? Oh yeah, I forgot, another weak, feckless individual. Can you imagine what a partisan hack like Eric Holder would have done to the GOP and members of the Bush administration FBI if all this was in reverse? Why is it that the GOP lacks a killer instinct?
This is why they are being sent home, not just the $1.3T omnibus spending bill, but the simple fact that they refuse to fight back. If the Kavanaugh hearings taught the GOP anything, it should be to stop using the reference of “my colleague” or “my good friend.” This is close quarters combat, and all the TV interviews on Fox News did nothing, as this whole kabuki theater ended as Schiff wrote, “buried-in-the-holidays whimper.”
Just as when we presented the election corruption to Governor Rick Scott in Florida six years ago, and he did nothing. The GOP continues to disappoint the American people who realize that they do not have a champion that will engage and defeat the progressive socialist left. What this means is that the Democrats will get better at their chicanery and corruption, making it harder and harder to uncover next time. The GOP missed a great opportunity that does not come often, to expose and eradicate the cancer we have come to call the “Deep State.”
Yes, the party of the jackass got away with it again. Starting the end of this week, when Nancy Pelosi is given the Speakers gavel, the bloodletting will begin. You will see exactly how tyrannical and tough the left truly is . . . there will be no civility, certainly forget about that compromise and bipartisan talk. As a matter of fact, you only hear those words when the GOP is in the majority, and they fall for it every time.
We are in an ideological civil war in America. Would someone please tell the GOP that? Apparently, they believe they can be nice and reason with progressive socialists who just got away with a deliberate endeavor to undermine a presidential election, and a presidency . . . meaning our Democracy. The Republicans did nothing about it!
Unless you think a letter that no one gives a damn about, that said there should be a “special investigation,” defines taking action. We do not need any more investigations that cost the taxpayers money. We need folks to be charged, tried, and sentenced.
