The Administration has determined after careful review that the office of the General Delegation of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in Washington should close. We have permitted the PLO office to conduct operations that support the objective of achieving a lasting, comprehensive peace between Israelis and the Palestinians since the expiration of a previous waiver in November 2017. However, the PLO has not taken steps to advance the start of direct and meaningful negotiations with Israel. To the contrary, PLO leadership has condemned a U.S. peace plan they have not yet seen and refused to engage with the U.S. government with respect to peace efforts and otherwise. As such, and reflecting Congressional concerns, the Administration has decided that the PLO office in Washington will close at this point. This decision is also consistent with Administration and Congressional concerns with Palestinian attempts to prompt an investigation of Israel by the International Criminal Court.
The United States continues to believe that direct negotiations between the two parties are the only way forward. This action should not be exploited by those who seek to act as spoilers to distract from the imperative of reaching a peace agreement. We are not retreating from our efforts to achieve a lasting and comprehensive peace.
Last week we saw former president Barry Soetoro deliver a scathing attack against the Trump administration, even attempting to claim the amazing economic recovery was due to his efforts. What a joke. Well, today, Barack Obama, or whatever his name is, is probably stark raving mad because President Trump just reversed another of his dubious accomplishments.
The opening statement is from the White House, and is the official eviction notice of the Islamic terrorist group started by that friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton, Yasser Arafat. Today the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) goes by the name of Fatah, and is led by one of Arafat’s underlings, Mahmoud Abbas. I think it is great that the PLO got their eviction notice from Washington, DC at the same time as the Jewish people celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. I extend my L’Shanah Tovah Tikatevu blessings to the Jewish people worldwide.
Awhile back, I wrote a piece that articulated that the Islamic terrorists were hoping for a Democrat [Socialist] victory in midterm elections. You can certainly ascertain why, based upon yesterday’s WH press release. The Trump administration’s decision to relocate our American Embassy from Tel Aviv to the rightful capital of Israel, Jerusalem, is certainly another reason. Gone are the days of sucking up, compromising, appeasing, and negotiating with the same folks who were responsible for the Munich Olympics terrorist attack, and massacre of the Jewish athletes. Gone are the days of being simpatico with Islamic jihadists, such as the Muslim Brotherhood, inviting them to sit front and center at speeches given in Cairo, Egypt. Gone are the days of airlifting, in the middle of the night, billions of dollars, laundered cash, to the mad mullahs of Iran.
Those are just some of the reasons why Islamo-fascists want President Trump tied up in incessant impeachment hearings, and his foreign policy agenda in the Middle East stopped. There is a reason why we should reject the Democrat [Socialist] party this November. Who would want to support an American political party that is cheered on by Islamic terrorist groups? Who wouldn’t agree with this eviction of the PLO, a long-standing group that has never accepted, or supported, the existence of a Jewish State?
Well, I found the type of folks who would not agree, the usual suspects. As reported by the Washington Post:
“Palestinian officials on Monday vowed not to bend to what they called the Trump administration’s bullying tactics after being notified that their office in Washington would be shut down as part of an effort to block cases against Israel at the International Criminal Court.
Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said he was officially notified of the decision, which the State Department formally announced Monday morning, charging that the Palestine Liberation Organization “has not taken steps to advance the start of direct and meaningful negotiations with Israel.” The announcement also cited U.S. “concerns with Palestinian attempts to prompt an investigation of Israel by the International Criminal Court.”
Erekat decried the move as a continuation of a policy of “collective punishment” by the Trump administration.
“These people have decided to stand on the wrong side of history by protecting war criminals and destroying the two state solution,” he said. “I told them if you are worried about courts, you should stop aiding and abetting crimes.”
U.S. moves to pressure the Palestinian leadership over the past year have driven the relationship to a crisis point. They have chipped away at the core tenets of Palestinian aspirations — a capital in part of Jerusalem and a right of return for refugees — while ramping up financial pressure on the Palestinian Authority, which governments Palestinian territories in the West Bank.
The Trump administration’s moves, Palestinian officials say, represent an attempt to inflict irreversible damage on their ambitions for a state, as Washington also effectively greenlights Israeli settlement activity in the West Bank.
The United States said last year it would close the PLO’s office in Washington after Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas called on the International Criminal Court to investigate and prosecute Israel for alleged war crimes. However, he later backtracked on the decision, advising the Palestinian leadership to limit the office’s activities to efforts to achieve peace with Israel as the Trump administration prepares its long-awaited peace plan.
The order to close the PLO office comes days before the 25th anniversary of the historic Oslo Accords, when the Palestine Liberation Organization and Israel mutually recognized each other and launched a peace process. That pact paved the way for the PLO to open its Washington office the following year, but as it doors close, the optimism surrounding that deal is a distant memory.”
Funny, when you read the Washington Post‘s account you would believe that the PLO is some horribly mistreated group of freedom fighters. You know, they are just fighting for their own statehood. But, think about this, where did the term “Palestine” come from? It came from a decree of Roman Emperor Hadrian after the Romans crushed the Jewish Simon Bar Kokhba revolt circa 135-138 AD. Hadrian sought to erase the whole entire memory of the Jewish people, Judaism, a sentiment still seems to persist today. Hadrian had previously renamed Jerusalem Aeolia Capitolina. After defeating the Bar Kokhba revolt, he renamed the region from Judea, to Syriac Palaestinia. Now, the root word of Palaestinia was derived from the ancient word Philistia, the Philistines. And just so you know, the Philistines were descendants of Greeks, not Arabs. The reason we even have the word Palestine today is because of a punishment, and attempt to eradicate, destroy the Jewish people. The Roman persecution gave rise to the dispersion of the Jewish people, known as the Diaspora.
Doggone, I love to read history!
The PLO, Fatah, are the same folks who take international aid, and provide the resources to the families of Islamic jihadists. They are the folks who name streets, and traffic circles, and dedicate monuments to those who shed innocent blood. Then again, the PLO, and their brothers, Hamas, do not believe in such a thing as innocent Jewish blood. Theirs is the way of jihad, terrorism, to advance their goals and aspirations, no different from Al Qaeda, ISIS, Hezbollah, or the Taliban, along with numerous others. It is just that Fatah, the PLO, has been successful in wearing suits, and masquerading as a legitimate diplomatic entity — they are not. However, the leftists love to hitch their wagon to perceived victims, even those who would slit their throat.
I am glad the PLO is being evicted from our nation’s capital. The real Palestinian Liberation Organization is the modern-day Nation-State of Israel. After all, the word Palestine came from their seeking independence from a conquering capitalist, colonial, dominating brutal regime of one-percenters called Romans. Hmm, so why does the Democrat [Socialist] party align with the perceived “victims” and not the real ones? Simple, the Arab PLO has a better propaganda machine, and their cause, and methods, are more aligned with the progressive socialist left.
Why else would Islamic terrorists want the Democrats to win in November in our American midterm elections?
