It’s not a Crisis, It’s an Invasion

“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.”
— Article 4, Section 4, United States Constitution

Once upon a time, if you had used such descriptions to describe the situation at our southern border, you would have been hailed as an alarmist, a nutcase. I find it so very comical that previously the progressive socialist left was referring to this as a “manufactured crisis,” of President Trump’s making. They wanted us to believe that this was all a distraction from that impending, surely damning, Mueller Report. Oops!

So, now, what does the left — enabled by their complicit leftist media allies — do? They shift the blame elsewhere, manipulation. They come up with absurdities such as border patrol agents are telling women to drink from toilets. Or that there is some secret Facebook page that denigrates Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I hate to say this, but I ain’t falling for the left yelling “squirrel!”

I had a chat with a very dear friend recently who legally immigrated to America from Romania, back when it was a communist country. Yes, they fled, escaped, and she is now living the American dream. She is angered by what is happening and how no one remembers that many who were, and still are, truly oppressed under the same type of philosophy of governance as Ocasio-Cortez, risked it all to come to America, legally. They respected our rule of law, and our American way of life, as opposed to the deliberate invasion happening here, in my home state of Texas.

And, to think, we have recent reports of a US member of Congress having staff members travel to Mexico to coach people on how to undermine laws and lie, in order to gain entry, illegally, into our country.

Heck, there is enough violence and gang activity in our own inner cities, but folks ain’t looking to illegally enter Mexico from America. As a matter of fact, Mexican immigration laws would not allow such.

Is America a compassionate country? Heck yeah! But, we demand adherence to our laws . . . well, some of us do. Who can forget every progressive socialist leftist presidential candidate raising their hands during the recent debate to indicate they would provide free healthcare to those invading our nation, illegally? No such thing was given to my friend who came from Romania, with just a suitcase. Yet she would go on to earn Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. Not free, but by taking out student loans, which she paid back.

I think this is just common sense. Why would anyone support folks who want to be president but do not believe we are a Constitutional Republic with borders to protect? Article 4, Section Four of our Constitution is very specific and explains, in common sense language, the duties and responsibilities when it comes to protecting our citizens, and legal immigrants, from invasion and crossing our borders illegally. “Shall protect them from domestic violence.” That seems pretty clear verbiage. Yet what does the left say about criminal illegal immigrants, such as MS-13 gang members? Nancy Pelosi says they have a “spark of divinity.”

These are names that should never be forgotten: Jamiel Shaw Jr., Mollie Tibbetts, Officer Ronil Singh, and Kate Steinle. I could list more names, and fill blog posts day after day.

Folks, we have elected officials who are failing the American people, not living up to their constitutional responsibilities.

As reported by the Conservative Review:

“Two groups of mainly Cuban nationals attempted to rush the Hidalgo port of entry by running across the Hidalgo International Bridge near McAllen, Texas, late Tuesday evening, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

According to a CBP official in an emailed statement, “At about 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, U.S. Customs and Border Protection deployed officers and concertina wire to temporarily close the Hidalgo International Bridge in response to multiple groups of undocumented aliens that had attempted to enter the port without inspection.”

The international bridge divides Hidalgo County, Texas, from the very violent Mexican city of Reynosa, which is the epicenter of much of the cartel activity of Cártel del Golfo.

Customs agents temporarily suspended pedestrian and vehicular traffic for roughly two hours. Then, another group of “approximately 50 undocumented aliens attempted entry without inspection at Hidalgo Bridge at 12:24 a.m. on Thursday, July 4.” This time, CBP went a step further and redeployed the “port hardening” measures “at mid-bridge.”

According to one Spanish-language source based in Tamaulipas, the first group was composed of 37 Cuban nationals. CBP confirmed with CR that “it appears both groups were primarily Cuban nationals.”

Recently, Cuban migration through the land border has been increasing so much that they are now taking over much of the street-level crime in cities like Juarez. In May, Kyle Williamson, special agent in charge of the DEA in El Paso, told CR, “The Cubans are pretty much occupying all of the motels in town and, together with the Hondurans, are working the street-level drug trafficking.”

Jaeson Jones, former captain of the Texas Rangers’ Border Security Operations Center, told me there is something bigger going on. “You could never get away with this without the Reynosa faction of the Gulf Cartel slaughtering the heck out of them,” said the former Texas Department of Public Safety officer, who conducted many counter-narcotics operations in Hidalgo County. “They clearly did this with the permission of the cartel in order that they can distract from the drug loads passing between the ports of entry at the time. This is a common tactic. The bigger the load, the bigger the distraction. This is especially true with the Cubans who are involved in organized crime now in Mexico.”

I visited McAllen, Texas, earlier this year and I saw the bridge mentioned. I was briefed by locals on the danger of Reynosa and the drug cartels who are freely operating on our side of the border. What damn part of our Constitution do these elected officials not understand? Who are these idiot judges that are “blocking” the execution of ICE raids? Where is that loudmouthed imbecile masquerading as a US Congresswoman, Ocasio-Cortez, on this issue?

How did we get to this place where we actually have elected officials saying that people who have invaded our Republic — illegally crossed into the United States of America — can have sanctuary? And who are these “useful idiots” who support and advocate for such?

Benjamin Franklin, responding to the question of our being a Republic or a monarchy, stated: “A Republic, if you can keep it.” Now, some 232 years later from that ratification of our US Constitution, we are screwing it up . . . intentionally.

This has to end. This is a critical issue going forward into the 2020 election cycle, but even more so right now. Who would have ever thought that we would be having a debate in our country about whether or not you can ask someone — in our country — if they are a citizen?

We have progressive socialists egging this illegal behavior on with their promises of “free” stuff for these individuals. Our US Border Patrol agents are doing Herculean work, and I am looking forward to being with them down in McAllen, Texas, next month. More importantly, I am looking for more Constitutional Conservatives and patriots who will stand up and defend our nation, especially since these traitors to our Constitution and our nation are not.

Steadfast and Loyal!
