There is a quote attributed to one George Santayana that reads, “those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” It appears that the progressive socialist left in America is heading down the very same path of the British, which sparked the Revolutionary War. The seminal point of departure for our nation’s quest for independence was on April 19, 1775, at Lexington Green in Massachusetts. It was there that American patriots, armed, fired upon the British who were marching towards Concord to destroy a weapons and armaments factory. The very understanding that “an armed individual is a citizen, and an unarmed individual is a subject” was the reason why the Founding Fathers placed the Second Amendment in our Bill of Rights. And one organization in America has been focused, since 1871, on proper firearms training, education, and marksmanship, along with the defense of the Second Amendment…the National Rifle Association. I am a proud Patriot Life (Benefactor) and Board Member of the NRA. Yes, there are some very serious internal issues for the NRA at this time, but we will weather this storm and press on with a reformed NRA that is laser-focused on its original mission and, purpose.
The NRA is a membership organization, not some amorphous machine. It is made up of people, Americans, who are law-abiding, legal firearm owners. But, never let that fact get in the way of the ideological agenda of the progressive socialist left, and their tyranny. We have heard it over and over about red flag laws, mandatory gun buy backs and confiscations, much of this rhetoric has been touted by all the infamous socialist dictators, most recently Hugo Chavez in Venezuela.
Well, let it be known, it is here in America . . . and it must be defeated.
When I first read this article, I thought it was a joke . . . then several others from across the country sent it to me. Ladies and gents, sons and daughters of liberty, this is serious!
As reported by the SFGate.com:
“The San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed a resolution on Tuesday declaring that the National Rifle Association is a domestic terrorist organization. The officials also urged other cities, states and the federal government to follow suit. District 2 Supervisor Catherine Stefani wrote the resolution and shared her thoughts on the NRA with KTVU. “The NRA has it coming to them,” she said. “And I will do everything I possibly can to call them out on what they are, which is a domestic terrorist organization.” After citing some statistics about gun violence in the United States – like that there’s been more than one mass shooting per day in the country in 2019 – Stefani got local with how gun violence has impact the Bay Area.
She cited the shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival on July 28, referencing Stephen Romero, Keyla Salazar and Trevor Irby, who were killed by gunman Santino William Legan in what she called a “senseless act of gun violence that day.” Later in the resolution, which the board passed unanimously, the NRA is blamed for causing gun violence. “The National Rifle Association musters its considerable wealth and organizational strength to promote gun ownership and incite gun owners to acts of violence,” the resolution reads. The resolution also claims that the NRA “spreads propaganda,” “promotes extremist positions,” and has “through its advocacy has armed those individuals who would and have committed acts of terrorism.”
In addition to calling the NRA a domestic terrorist organization, the Board of Supervisors called on the city and county of San Francisco to “take every reasonable step to limit … entities who do business with the City and County of San Francisco from doing business” with the NRA.”
And so it begins. I am trying to recall at what point and time that the NRA called for violence and advocated for people to be armed to commit acts of terrorism? This, once again, is an example of the delusional and deranged nature of these progressive socialist leftists, just like Chicago Mayor Lightfoot blaming Republicans for gun violence in her city.Let me remind Supervisor Stefani that no one that has committed a mass shooting has been a member of the NRA. Furthermore, the shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas was stopped by an NRA member and NRA trained firearms instructor, Stephen Willeford. In the case of Parkland, Florida, there were countless failures by law enforcement and school officials when all the warning signs were there and known. Ms. Stefani just lit a match. She said that someone — such as myself — is a domestic terrorist all because I own firearms and belong to the National Rifle Association. Well, tell me, Ms. Stefani, why is Planned Parenthood, an organization founded by a racist and white supremacist, enabled, with taxpayer dollars, to murder hundreds of unborn, and potentially born, babies in the womb? They are directly responsible for those deaths.
As well, Ms. Stefani resides in San Francisco where a criminal illegal immigrant gunned down an American young woman, Kate Steinle, and was acquitted of all charges, including a recent California Court of Appeals decision that he was not guilty of illegal gun possession. Then this incompetent woman is declaring the NRA a domestic terrorist organization?
The left has been silent on Antifa who has called for and enacted violence, including an assault against a federal ICE facility. Why hasn’t Antifa been designated a domestic terrorist organization? We have Black Lives Matter walking around advocating killing police officers, and no talk of their being designated a domestic terrorist organization. The Council for American Islamic Relations is known to have ties to Hamas, a terrorist organization, and is affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, and Ms. Stefani, and the left, says nothing.
Stefani is in a sanctuary city in a sanctuary state which is rampant with MS-13 gang members, but perhaps Ms. Stefani believes they have a “spark of divinity,” but they are not designated a domestic terrorist organization.
Why is it that the letftist organizations that are committing acts of violence are never held responsible, accountable? Why is it that Maxine Waters who called for violence is not held accountable? Why is it that radical Islamist members of congress such as Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib who have known associations with Islamic terrorists and organizations are not designated as domestic terrorists?
It’s simple: it is because the left wants us disarmed. They will go to any lengths to achieve that end goal to enable the implementation of their tyranny. That means designating legal, law-abiding American gun owners as domestic terrorists. Just let that sink in for a while. The city of San Francisco voted to label an organization that defends a constitutional right as a domestic terrorist organization . . . meaning its members.
Furthermore, Ms. Stefani has called upon other progressive socialist cities to do the same, and I am quite sure she includes states as well. So, that means even here in Texas we are not immune, since the capital of Texas resembles San Francisco in many aspects, along with other major Texas cities.
This is beyond highly disturbing. And, to think, we have Republican elected officials aligning themselves with these tyrants pushing Red Flag Laws.
The left in America must be defeated. Just think of all the women out there who are NRA members who want to protect themselves. Supervisor Stefani just designated them as domestic terrorists.
Ma’am, there are two words history has taught us when free men and women face tyranny: Molon Labe!
