I have had a great week traveling in Texas, meeting and speaking with some awesome folks out in Amarillo, Pampa, and the Texas State GOP convention in San Antonio.
I have been somewhat following the recent DoJ Inspector General’s report. No, I did not have the time to read a report over 600 pages long. I sure wish folks would embrace the concept of brevity. It doesn’t take that much killing of trees to comprehend that something is rotten in the higher echelons of the Department of Justice, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I have, instead, cross-referenced several stories, and various summaries, in order to ascertain a baseline understanding of the report’s findings. It is as we who have been following this kabuki dance already knew.
As reported by Fox News:
“The country is still digesting Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s scathing report on the FBI and the DOJ’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, but more bombshells could be looming from the same team of investigators. Horowitz, a former federal prosecutor, announced in March that he is probing allegations of government surveillance abuse, in light of memos released on Capitol Hill about FBI and DOJ efforts to obtain FISA warrants to surveil Trump campaign adviser Carter Page as part of its Russia investigation. On Thursday, Horowitz released his nearly 600-page report scrutinizing the actions of numerous figures who played a key role in the Justice Department and FBI’s investigation of Clinton’s email practices while she was secretary of state. That report specifically criticized former FBI Director James Comey, FBI official Peter Strzok, Obama era-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, as well as other officials. While the report cited instances of bias – or the appearance of bias – Horowitz’s review found “no evidence that the conclusions by the prosecutors were affected by bias or other improper considerations.” One of the most stunning findings concerns texts between agent Peter Strzok and bureau colleague Lisa Page.
According to the report, Page texted Strzok in August 2016 and said: “[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!”
“No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it,” Strzok responded.
Strzok was a lead investigator on the Clinton case and later worked the Russia investigation before being removed from that assignment.”
Of course, if you are watching the liberal, progressive media outlets, this is hardly their focus. Instead their “aha” moment is Paul Manafort being incarcerated, and his bail being revoked.
Also, the media is frenzied over former President Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, saying that he will cooperate. What the leftist media is failing to articulate is that none of this has anything to do with the charter of the Mueller investigation: find evidence of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.
Manafort’s alleged crimes were committed long before he was ever a part of the Trump campaign. And, most of the concerns regarding Michael Cohen emanate from a previous, alleged, supposed, personal indiscretion of civilian Donald J. Trump with a porn star. Hmm, methinks the progressive socialist left doth protest too much — especially considering these facts: (1) Hillary Clinton did, indeed, commit various crimes with respect to her use of an unsecured, private email server that was used to transmit classified information; (2) Hillary Clinton did destroy computers, and hard drives, that were part of an investigation; (3) it was the Clinton campaign that coordinated with a former foreign intelligence agent, who worked with Russians, to develop a false “dossier; (4) it was that dossier that was the sole impetus for conducting surveillance against the Trump campaign, and the instigation of the special prosecutor, by way of leaked information from FBI Director James Comey; (5) who cares what Donald Trump may, or may not, have done with a porn star years ago — Bill Clinton was president of the United States when he defiled the Oval Office with an intern.
Why do I say the left is digging their own grave? Simple: all of this is well understood by the average, competent, informed, and educated American. The DoJ IG report, from Mr. Horowitz, was basically a confirmation of the fire we all know is burning. The denial, and dismissal, of the deplorable actions of said personnel in the IG report, by the left, is resulting in their grave, one dug by themselves.
Imagine if there was such a report that confirmed FBI agents were communicating, colluding, to prevent Barack Obama from becoming the president? What if the McCain or Romney campaigns had paid off a foreign intel officer to collude with the Russians to produce a false dossier on Barack Obama? What if there was a secret tarmac meeting between former President George W. Bush, and a sitting US Attorney General, at a time when a Republican was under investigation, with whom President Bush had a relationship? Nope, you cannot make this stuff up.This is just a small example of the bifurcated system of justice that is applied one way for some, and not for the progressive socialist left. Click To Tweet
Someone needs to explain how the same top-level FBI agent, Peter Strzok, was involved in the Clinton email campaign — some interesting text messages there. But, he was also involved in the investigation into the Trump Russian collusion charade, which, as you’ll remember, began under false information. Why was there a blatant, and obvious, double standard of treatment for Cheryl Mills, and Huma Abedin, as opposed to LTG Michael Flynn, and Paul Manafort? Please, spare me the line about how Flynn lied, as if Mills and Abedin did not? Oh, that’s right, it was Peter Strzok, who was the lead interviewer in both cases . . . things that make ya go ‘hmm.’ Why is it that Peter Strzok, and Lisa Paige, have been kept in hiding, but there was full on leftist media exposure of those associated with the Trump campaign? Anyone heard from Jon Podesta recently? This is just a small example of the bifurcated system of justice that is applied one way for some, and not for the progressive socialist left. That is why the left is digging themselves a hole. Why was it that the FBI conducted raids into the homes of Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen — and nothing against Bruce Ohr, Strzok, Paige, Andrew McCabe, or anyone that lines up with the left?
Why are the American taxpayers footing a massive financial bill for the Mueller theater, while before us we clearly see where wrong has been done?
Now, do I think anything will happen with these aforementioned individuals? No, I do not, and that is the egregious part of all of this that sets my gray hair on fire — and should yours. We do not have indictments being handed down, or charges made. Doggone, we absolutely know about Andrew McCabe, and his transgressions . . . but, nothing.
Yes, as Greta Von Susteren stated, “Washington DC is a city of no consequences.” Well, the consequences only apply if you are in opposition to the progressive socialist left. Don’t get me wrong: if you commit a crime, you should be held responsible, accountable, and suffer the consequences — but damn, that door only seems to go one way.
So, folks, there is only one way to exact consequences against the progressive, socialist left, and their liberal, progressive media accomplices: electoral defeat. The only way we can express our form of justice — since it appears some lack the intestinal fortitude to do the right thing — is to vote out Democrats wherever possible. When they talk about a blue wave, we must turn it into a Constitutional Conservative tsunami. We must lay these sins upon every single Democrat running for office, and make them pay a price. Truly, it may be that is the best way to punish the left in America, deny them political power. Maybe, just maybe, we will find ourselves elected officials, and leaders, who will honor our rule of law, and break through the glass barrier that has created separate levels of “justice.”
I, for one, am tired of the left defining what justice is, enabled by the complicit leftist media. I am also tired of weak GOP politicians who allow themselves to be pushed around by the left. Whether in the majority or the minority, it’s the same end state. Ask yourselves: do any of you believe that a Democrat-controlled House and Senate would have allowed for a special prosecutor to be unleashed on Barack Obama? So, Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot to Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan?
Ponder this: what if Hillary Clinton had won the 2016 presidential election. Does anyone believe that an iota of what we now know would be known? There is but a small window of opportunity to crush this immense level of corruption, one that has weaponized federal government agencies. Remember the sage words of former US Marine Corps First Sergeant Jim “Finger” Reifinger, “if you ever find yourself in a fair fight, it’s all because your tactics suck.”
