Howdy y’all! Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of addressing some 400 college conservatives at the Young America’s Foundation summer conference in DC. What a real blessing to encourage these young constitutional conservatives — our future — who will carry the standard of our Republic for the next 30-40 years. I could spend this entire missive talking about the importance of supporting these young people on the ideological battlefield that our college and university campuses have become. If we do not take this fight seriously, well, the progressive socialist left will keep churning out more Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s — someone I hope keeps talking, tweeting, and embarrassing herself.
I also pondered discussing President Trump’s statement about meeting with the Ayatollahs of Iran without preconditions. Well, I already addressed that yesterday morning on the Fox News radio Brian Kilmeade Show, with my friend Monica Crowley. I do not think it’s a good idea to sit with Hasan Rouhani, or the mad mullahs of the theocratic islamist regime of Iran. I think we have them right where we want them, on the verge of economic collapse and diplomatically isolated. We need not give them any semblance of legitimacy, or equivalency at all. Some folks ya just do not talk to, your actions should send the message, and the Trump administration’s canceling of the Iranian nuclear agreement and reinstating of sanctions is all the talk we need. Furthermore, at a time when Iranians are taking to the streets against the islamo-fascist regime in Tehran, we need not undermine, or discourage them with a “meeting” with the leaders of the number one state sponsor of Islamic terrorism.
Speaking of which, I mean domestic islamo-fascism . . .
What I do want to share with y’all is the hypocrisy of one Louis Farrakhan. You know of whom I speak. I just want to know, why is it that the left allows Farrakhan to continue his rhetoric of hatred? And why is it that Netflix, where Barack Obama will have a show, would entertain allowing a documentary on Farrakhan to be aired?
As reported by The Algemeiner:
“The online streaming giant Netflix said it would not air a documentary that celebrates the life of Nation of Islam leader and prominent antisemite Louis Farrakhan. An initial plan to release the film was promoted by Farrakhan on Monday, who tweeted, “On August 1st, watch the premiere of my music documentary ‘My Life’s Journey Through Music’ on @netflix.” Following outrage from a number of leading Jewish groups on Tuesday morning, a Netflix spokesperson later told Fox News that the initial announcement was due to “an internal miscommunication.” “This film will not be released on Netflix,” the spokesperson said. “We apologize for any confusion this has caused.”
Farrakhan has a decades-long history of antisemitic statements. He resurfaced earlier this year with a particularly violent rant delivered on May 27, in which he blamed Jews for everything from gay marriage to controlling former President Barack Obama, referring to the “Satanic Jew and the Synagogue of Satan.” “Whenever you read that God has told the Jews to hear and obey, and they say, ‘I hear and I disobey,’ that’s Satan . . . [The Jews] are openly disobeying God,” Farrakhan said. “He [a Jew] will take down the whole world with him.” “Do you know that many of us who go to Hollywood seeking a chance have to submit to anal sex and all kinds of debauchery, and they give you a little part? It’s called the casting couch,” he added. “See, that’s Jewish power.”
Earlier on Tuesday, in response to news of the impending Netflix broadcast, the Simon Wiesenthal Center told The Algemeiner, “We hope that Netflix is planning to afford the opportunity to the Simon Wiesenthal Center and other critics to share with Netflix viewers Farrakhan’s six decades long history of bigotry and anti-Semitism.”
“Though Netflix is calling this a documentary, it’s nothing more than a promotional video,” they continued. “How can Netflix, knowing about Farrakhan’s long history of anti-Semitism, misogyny and racism, his long and unbroken record of bigotry and intolerance, run this? With so many important stories to tell, to choose this raises serious questions about Netflix’s due diligence and judgment.”
I do not buy Netflix’s lame excuse about this being “an internal miscommunication.” That is bovine excrement. Netflix would have proceeded with this airing if there had not been immediate outrage. Now, here is the rub: why is it that the left can get away with associations such as this? Imagine if this was some white supremacist leader, hmm, let’s say a David Duke, and some conservative media outlet was going to air a “documentary” on his love of opera? Yes, the leftist outrage would have been palpable and very loud, leading them to tear down more Confederate war memorials. But not just that, how many pictures are there of Democrat elected officials with Farrakhan? Why no outrage, no consequences, and yes, one of those was Barack Obama . . . another is Mad Maxine Waters.
I cannot speak for any of you, but it is time we stop accepting the open and blatant hypocrisy of the left. Just think about Mark Zuckerberg’s recent comments about the Holocaust, with no consequences. Well, the Facebook stock price is taking a plunge, but there are no calls for him to step down. Therefore, may I ask the rhetorical question: why does the Jewish community vote nearly 80% for the political party that promotes and advocates for anti-Semitism? Why was the Jewish community so giddy to embrace one Barack Obama who was cheeky fella with the loudest and most vile anti-Semite in our Country? Heck, why does the Jewish community support this Beto guy running for Senate here in Texas who has taken funding from the J-Street, self-hating Jewish lobby? Therefore, may I ask the rhetorical question: why does the Jewish community vote nearly 80% for the political party that promotes and advocates for anti-Semitism? Why doesn’t the progressive socialist left denounce Farrakhan, and label his blather as “hate speech”? Where are the voices of Chuck Schumer, et al?
This is why the left is losing in America. Sure, they have their leftist media outlets covering for them, but Americans are onto their game, the insidious game of hypocrisy. I have never used Netflix, and can admit that I do not see that changing. The fact that they would even consider hosting a documentary on Louis Farrakhan is beyond disturbing, and it would have aired, they just got caught. I am tired of the left blaming conservatives when they are the ones promoting violence, and violent rhetoric, in our nation.
No, there won’t be a “blue wave” because we all clearly see the American left for who they are. And we will not surrender to this.
