The Left’s Warped Definition of Heroism is a Disgrace

In Democrats, Military, News by Allen West5 Comments

If you were to listen to Democrat Congressman from Massachusetts, Seth Moulton, you would think the the left is all in love with our military. Sadly, they are seeking to run these leftist veterans as a ploy to make one believe that they actually care about those serving in uniform. The Obama administration gave us all the evidence we need to know about what the left thinks of our Armed Services, and its readiness. Let us not forget the utter disrespect shown to a Medal of Honor recipient at the last Democrat National Committee convention in Philadelphia. However, what happened during the House Oversight Committee hearing of humiliated former FBI Deputy Counterterrorism Director Peter Strzok blows it all out of the water.

As reported by Fox News:

“Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., told embattled FBI agent Peter Strzok Thursday that he deserved a Purple Heart for sitting through a public hearing that frequently veered off track and degenerated into shouting matches more than once. “Mr. Strzok, I don’t know where to start,” Cohen said as he started his allotted five minutes. “If I could give you a Purple Heart, I would. You deserve one.” Cohen went on to describe the hearing as “an attack on you and a way to attack [Special Counsel Robert] Mueller and the investigation that is to get at Russian collusion involved in our elections, which is what this committee should be looking at.” Strzok, who was an Army officer before joining the FBI, repeatedly denied acting on his anti-Trump views while he worked on the Hillary Clinton email investigation and while he worked on the Mueller probe.

Strzok was pulled off the Mueller investigation last year after the Justice Department’s internal watchdog made the special prosecutor aware of the texts. The Purple Heart typically is awarded to members of the U.S. military who are wounded or killed by enemies in war. Cohen concluded his five-minute monologue with a flourish, saying “the Russians are loving [this hearing], because this is what they want. This is what they want. You’d think it was Benghazi. It was a never-ending television show from Congress that got nowhere except trying to influence the people who watch Fox News, and that’s what this is about . . . This is nothing but a ruse to try to get to the Mueller investigation and make people think it’s baseless, that it’s biased . . .”

Rep. Cohen’s reference to the Purple Heart was completely and utterly out-of-place, and shows his lack of respect for those who have been in combat, and engaged the enemy. It was a slap in the face to every single young man and woman who carries the hard-earned title of “Wounded Warrior,” or who has made the last full measure of devotion to our country.

Peter Strzok is an embarrassment, and not reflective of the truly brave men and women of the Federal Bureau of Investigation who serve with honor, integrity, and the highest degree of character. His smug, condescending behavior is what ails this country, along with chuckleheads like Cohen, those who believe that they are above the law and reproach. For Strzok, and the Democrats, to try to make this charlatan, and liar, out to be some sort of heroic victim is beyond belief. That no Democrat came out and distanced themselves from Cohen’s absurd assertion tells us all we need to know about the progressive socialist left. Cohen’s statement should have been denounced, and he should be made to publicly apologize to all of our men and women in uniform, as well as our veterans, and the families of those who have lost their lives in combat. Cohen should openly apologize to the National Purple Heart Association, a group that I have had the distinct honor of addressing.

However, there is indeed a silver lining to the stupidity of Rep. Cohen — I can see the midterm election advertisement. If anyone wants to see this type of behavior, such as Peter Strzok’s, condoned and made into some delusional act of valor, then do vote for the Democrats to be in the majority in November. If you want more of this type of despicable attitude, along with the denigration, and disparagement of our military, vote for the Democrats.

If you think that a liar, such as Strzok — and I am not buying his demented definition of “patriotism” — should be defended, then please, vote for the Democrats, and we will get more of this shameful behavior. Do not forget that it was Peter Strzok who changed the talking points of FBI Director James Comey on his report on Hillary Clinton from “gross negligence” to “careless” when it came to handling classified materials. It was Strzok who was a lead investigator of both Hillary Clinton, and President Trump, and do not pretend to tell me he was not biased.

Yes, the left is cheering, and they have found their version of a “hero,” and they want to pin medals on him. Heck, I bet they wish to do the same with doggone Lois Lerner, remember her?

We have a new face to represent the Democrat party: Steve Cohen of Tennessee, who wishes to pin a Purple Heart on a disgusting liar. Click To Tweet

Go ahead, vote for the Democrats in November, and watch them become the majority in the US House of Representatives, and possibly have Rep. Cohen of Tennessee as the Chairman of the Oversight Committee . . . and Mad Maxine Waters Chairman — again — of the House Financial Services Committee.

I am glad we had the hearing in public. Yes, it was rather theatrical, but we all got to see that if it were not for low standards, the Democrats would have none whatsoever.

We have a new face to represent the Democrat party, right there with Maxine Waters, and it is the face of Democrat Representative Steve Cohen of Tennessee, a Red State mind you, who wishes to pin a Purple Heart on a disgusting liar.

That’s the Democrat party, excuse me, the Democratic Socialist party of America folks.
