I always remember how, in the movie Frankenstein, the creation of one Dr. Frankenstein — about whom he proclaimed, “It’s alive!” — ended up terrorizing the countryside. In the end, the so-called monster had to be put down.
Well, it appears that this little vignette is playing out in real life, in Washington DC. Yes, it appears that ol’ Dr. Pelosi has lost control of her Four Horsewomen of the Progressive Socialist Apocalypse. And, they have indeed turned against her as they have violated one of my Dad’s fundamental maxims, “Never read your own press, and never drink your own tub water.”
As reported by Fox News:
“The public spat between Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif, got a lot nastier on Wednesday, with the freshman congresswoman suggesting that the speaker is “singling out” her and her colleagues based on their race. Pelosi has worked to keep the Democratic caucus in line, specifically four newly-elected outspoken progressives: Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass.
However, a feud between Pelosi and the quartet escalated after Congress passed a border funding bill that the four young Democrats opposed. Pelosi discussed the bill, and those in her party who oppose it, in an interview last weekend. She told the New York Times: “All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world, but they didn’t have any following. They’re four people, and that’s how many votes they got.” Ocasio-Cortez said to The Washington Post on Wednesday that the “persistent singling out” by the Speaker may be more than “outright disrespectful.”
“When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “But the persistent singling out . . . it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful . . . the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color.” On Wednesday, Pelosi also delivered a stern message to her caucus, telling House Democrats: “You got a complaint? You come and talk to me about it. But do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that that is just okay.”
Isn’t it always typical of leftists to cry racism when anyone disagrees or pushes back against their insidiousness? What is absolutely amazing to me is that these four freshman Congresswomen believe that they can say or do anything they want, with impunity, and without consequences or ramifications. It is as if everyone is just supposed to give way and submit to their egregious ways.
Then again, let’s be honest. Folks like Pelosi have dismissed the abhorrent behavior of these four women. It has nothing to do with race. Even Kamala Harris dismisses the race claim against Pelosi.
When you have Ilhan Omar and her disparaging, and disturbing, comments about Jews and 911 dismissed and defended, you only encourage this belligerence. When you have Rashida Tlaib and her horrific use of an expletive in reference to the President of these United States of America and impeachment, and her “calming feeling” about the Holocaust, and the wagons circled around her . . . it’s appalling. When you have Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez filling the airwaves with false statements and abject lies, calling for the abolishing of our ICE agency, influencing Democrat (socialists) to follow her absurd “green new deal” policy, with no challenge, this is what you get.
I do not feel bad for Nancy Pelosi, not at all. Pelosi was the one who made the cover of Rolling Stone with these exact same individuals who are now disparaging her as a racist. Realize that this is the fallback position anytime leftists are challenged, and I think it’s funny that as with Bill Clinton with Barack Obama, they used the race card on Pelosi.
As well, I think it is comical that these are the loudest mouths in the Democrat (socialist) caucus. These are not the individuals who enabled Pelosi to regain the gavel as Speaker. Instead, these Four Horsewomen have stolen the platform and have turned their angst against the “moderate” Democrats who enabled Pelosi to gain the position.
What needs to happen is to defeat these Democrats who won in GOP districts. They are proving themselves to have only been shills and not standing up to the radicals in their freshman class. It is rather amusing to see the left cannibalizing itself, they are truly a party in disarray.
No, the Tea Party movement was completely different in that it was rooted in fiscal responsibility and conservative principles and values, not some misguided socialist vision for our America. The sad thing is that the “progressive” wing of the GOP — also known as the establishment — colluded with the Democrat (socialists) to destroy the first-ever constitutional conservative national grassroots movement.
Hey Nancy, guess what? “Your chickens are comin’ home to roost.”
