The Politicized Rule of Law and Justice in America

As y’all are reading this, I am in the air heading to Clemson, SC, to address the Young American’s for Freedom chapter there on “Protecting our Nation, Equipping our Troops.”

Sadly, as I was returning back from Ft. Myers Florida yesterday after speaking to a great group of Veterans, including several World War II Vets, I heard some distressing news. The news left me asking, how do we protect a nation and its citizens, when the rule of law and justice has become abjectly politicized? I am referring to the FBI raid of President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen.

As reported by Fox News:

“The FBI raided President Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen’s home, office and hotel room Monday to seize a collection of documents — a development that Trump slammed as “a disgrace.” Federal agents reportedly obtained documents related to several issues, including his payments to adult-film star Stormy Daniels in the weeks leading up to the 2016 presidential election.

The New York Times was first to report the raid. “Today the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York executed a series of search warrants and seized the privileged communications between my client, Michael Cohen, and his clients,” Cohen’s attorney Stephen Ryan said in a statement Monday. “I have been advised by federal prosecutors that the New York action is, in part, a referral by the Office of Special Counsel, Robert Mueller.”

“If in the course of his or her investigation the Special Counsel concludes that additional jurisdiction beyond that specified in his or her original jurisdiction is necessary in order to fully investigate and resolve the matters assigned, or to investigate new matters that come to light in the court of his or her investigation, he or she shall consult with the Attorney General, who will determine whether to include the additional matters within the Special Counsel’s jurisdiction or assign them elsewhere,” the code reads. That “elsewhere,” in this case, could be referring to the U.S. Attorneys’ Office in the Southern District of New York. When asked whether it was Attorney General Jeff Sessions or Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein who directed the jurisdiction, the Justice Department declined to comment.”

Perhaps I am presenting something that is blatantly obvious, and rhetorical in nature, but, what does something that allegedly happened ten or so years ago with a porn star have to do with Special Counsel Robert Mueller? I am trying to ascertain how this has anything to do with Russian interference in our election or collusion. If we have come to a point where justice is all about trolling to find any, and everything, then, our rule of law in American has been degraded into a Stalinist style of politicization.

How can it be that the Federal Bureau of Investigation would overly deem it necessary to raid Michael Cohen’s residence and office? That seems rather excessive to me. Okay, I can hear the progressive socialist leftists ranting about the fact he could possibly destroy documents. Well, where was the FBI when Hillary Clinton was destroying computers and hard drives — you remember — bleaching out databases? Why was there never a raid of the Clinton residence? After all, they did have an unauthorized email server that was transmitting classified information?

Why didn’t the FBI ever raid the homes of Cheryl Mills, or Huma Abedin? They were caught up in a web of lies. And, when did the liberal progressive left in America obtain a sense of morality? After all, it was their beloved Bill Clinton who sexually assaulted a young intern in the Oval Office, while a sitting President.

Barack Obama lied about the Islamic terrorist attack in Benghazi, along with Hillary Clinton, and others, but there was no raid there…and four Americans died. We know that it was IRS employee Lois Lerner who abused her power to target conservative groups, yet no one raided her house. Oh yeah, she is now receiving a six-figure tax-payer funded retirement.

We have all this “collusion” between Peter Strzok, Lisa Paige, and Bruce Ohr — no FBI raids there.  So, will we ever know who carried the politicized Fusion GPS dossier to a secret FISA court? Heck, between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former FBI Director James Comey, who knows who is telling the truth . . . but no raids there.

I ask y’all to ponder this: do any of you believe that Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch would unleash their DOJ on Barack Obama? Doggone, Eric Holder was held in contempt of Congress, nothing happened there. And whatever happened with that Fast and Furious scandal that resulted in the death of US Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry? Yes, another American died, but no FBI raid over that. I am quite sure our astute readers can come up with even more instances of the duplicitous hypocrisy. Heck, why has no one ever conducted a raid of George Soros? I tend to believe funding a domestic terrorist organization, Antifa, would be worthy of a little visit from the FBI. Matter of fact, why hasn’t the FBI raided Antifa?

Folks, this stinks — no, this is indeed FUBAR — and I did not even mention the criminality of the Clinton Foundation. I am quite sure the liberal progressive media is truly savoring this moment, and somehow their feeble minds believe there is some impeachable offense. What the liberal progressive left had best realize is that they are angering America. They are creating an environment where the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, at the upper echelons, have lost the trust and confidence of the American people.

Yes, we should trust our federal law enforcement agency, the FBI, but when there are so many blatant and politicized abuses of justice, and violations of our Constitution — namely the Fourth Amendment — trust is a hard pill to swallow.

How many more federal government agencies will be weaponized? And, who is next in this dark Stasi-esque, secret police, politicized system of justice?
