Maybe y’all still remember the song by legendary country music artist and fiddle player, Charlie Daniels, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” In many ways, we can draw parallels to Beelzebub’s little trip to my birth state and the recent visit of one Bernie Sanders to my current home state. Just as with Lucifer, Bernie Sanders was willing to make a deal, he was looking for some souls to steal. So it is with socialists, they make these glowing, attractive promises, but in the end, you end up losing your soul. The result is that they turn any and everything into a living hell.
I wrote the book, Hold Texas, Hold the Nation: Victory or Death* because the socialists are coming down to Texas. Who would have ever thought that the Lone Star State would produce progressive socialists like the Castro Brothers of San Antonio and Robert Francis ‘O Rourke of El Paso. Who could have ever fathomed that the capital of the State of Texas would more so resemble San Francisco than the rugged individualism and character that defines the only State whose flag can fly at the same height as the American flag? Right there in Austin, Texas, earlier this year, the avowed diva of Democrat socialism, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, spoke of eradicating the very industry, oil and gas, that has enabled Texas to be an economic paradise. Nah, it is better to rule in collective hell with persecuted souls, than to advance economic empowerment of the individual.
Yes, it is very possible that Texas gets flipped by these progressive socialists. They have been very successful in establishing their electoral dominance in the major population centers across the Lone Star State, just as they have done elsewhere — Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Virginia. They have their sights on North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and yes, Texas. If this were to happen, it means America, the great land of individual opportunity, will be fundamentally transformed into a collective Hades of determined outcomes, by these ideologically delusional and deranged progressive socialists.
So Bernie Sanders brought his traveling wealth redistribution show to Texas, but perhaps did not get the welcome he expected. As reported by Fox News:
“2020 presidential contender Bernie Sanders faced an aggressive and, at times, outwardly combative audience at the She The People Forum devoted to women of color in Houston on Wednesday, as the self-described democratic socialist struggled to convince attendees of his commitment to minority and underprivileged communities.
The tense moments underscored the challenges Sanders’ campaign still faces despite its frontrunner status. The 77-year-old Vermont senator, long a champion for progressive causes, has sought to win over voters who turned out in massive numbers to support former President Barack Obama.
In a particularly striking moment, host Aimee Allison asked Sanders what he would do to fight white-supremacist violence. In response, Sanders launched into a familiar anecdote that — perhaps precisely because of its familiarity — seemed to crash and burn.
“I know I date myself a little bit here, but I actually was at the March on Washington with Dr. [Martin Luther] King back in 1963,” Sanders began, as audible groans and jeers broke out at the auditorium at Texas Southern University.
One person apparently shouted, “We know!”
“And,” Sanders continued, as he held his hand up to quiet the crowd and apparently to wag his finger, “as somebody who actively supported Jesse Jackson’s campaign, as one of the few white elected officials to do so in ’88, I have dedicated my life to the fight against racism, and sexism, and discrimination of all forms.”
Sanders faced similar backlash when he responded to an audience question about white supremacy by discussing immigration and the federal minimum wage, as well as his sweeping “Medicare for All” proposal.
The audience loudly applauded when Allison reminded Sanders that the “core of the question” concerned violence against minorities. Separately, co-host Joy Reid asked Sanders how he would win over Hillary Clinton voters, including black women in particular.
In response, Sanders trashed Trump as “the most dangerous president” in modern history, and generally called for unity among Democrats as well as “social justice, racial justice, and environmental justice.”
That response immediately drew more hecklers, as Reid pressed, “Yeah, and for black women specifically?”
“I’m sorry?” Sanders asked, as the jeers became louder.
“For black women specifically,” Reid reiterated.”
For black women specifically? Okay, there is a Planned Parenthood headquarters not too far away from the campus of Texas Southern University. Maybe Sanders should have responded that white progressive socialists can stop murdering black babies in the womb of black women. He should have denounced a known white supremacist, racist named Margaret Sanger if he was serious about rejecting white supremacy.
Perhaps Sanders should have addressed why we need to advance school choice programs within the black community so that black mothers do not have to continue to send their children to failing public schools . . . thanks to white liberal progressive teachers unions. Bernie should have had the courage to apologize to these black women for the failed social welfare policy of Texan President Lyndon Baines Johnson, a rabid racist, who set the traditional, nuclear, black family on the road to destruction.
Sanders should have renounced his support of open borders and widespread permeation of illegal immigration in America that is deflating wages. Sanders should not be touting his desire for a $15 minimum wage which only causes more jobs to be lost. As well, it is disingenuous and disgusting to assert that minorities are not intelligent enough to climb an economic ladder and must be relegated to jobs that are suited to young teenagers, not as a career pursuit.
See, the women at the “She the People” forum should read Jason Riley’s book, Please stop Helping Us. *
As a matter of fact, Malcolm X stated it best:
“The white liberal is the worst enemy to America, and the worst enemy to the black man.
Let me explain what I mean by the white liberal. In America there is no such thing as Democrat or Republican anymore. In America you have liberals and conservatives.
The only people living in the past who think in terms of I’m a Democrat or Republican, is the American Negro. He’s the one that runs around bragging about party affiliation. He’s the one that sticks to the Democrat or sticks to the Republican.
But white people are divided into two groups, liberals and conservative. The Democrats who are conservative, vote with the Republicans who are conservative. The Democrats who are liberal vote with the Republicans that are liberal. The white liberal aren’t white people who are for independence, who are moral and ethical in their thinking. They are just a faction of white people that are jockeying for power. The same as the white conservative is a faction of white people that are jockeying for power.
They are fighting each other for power and prestige, and the one that is the football in the game is the Negro, 20 million black people. A political football, a political pawn, an economic football, and economic pawn. A social football, a social pawn.
The liberal elements of whites are those who have perfected the art of selling themselves to the Negro as a friend of the Negro. Getting sympathy of the Negro, getting the allegiance of the Negro, and getting the mind of the Negro. Then the Negro sides with the white liberal, and the white liberal use the Negro against the white conservative. So that anything that the Negro does is never for his own good, never for his own advancement, never for his own progress, he’s only a pawn in the hands of the white liberal. The worst enemy that the Negro have is this white man that runs around here drooling at the mouth professing to love Negros, and calling himself a liberal, and it is following these white liberals that has perpetuated problems that Negros have. If the Negro wasn’t taken, tricked, or deceived by the white liberal then Negros would get together and solve our own problems.”
Look at the inner city urban economic plantations that these white liberal progressive socialists have created. I do applaud the women at the “She the People” forum for one thing, that heckled and booed this disrespectful pandering Vermont socialist. The question is whether or not these women who suffer in communities with high crime, drugs, and gang violence, where their children are gunned down will reject all these socialists going down to Texas, and elsewhere. Why accept a Kamala Harris who would prefer them to be unarmed, disarmed, and nothing more than helpless victims.
It is time that the black community starts pushing back on the message of economic dependency. What’s so very interesting is that there is Houston, Harris County, was where the Republican Party of Texas was founded, by blacks, 150 to be exact. One of the early Chairmen was a black man named Norris Wright Cuney, for whom Houston’s Cuney homes, Section 8 housing is named. I do not think that Norris Wright Cuney wanted his name to be associated with section eight housing, but that is how the progressive socialist left, “white elitist liberals” roll.
Many in the black community are strong Christians who accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, for their spiritual freedom and liberty. They attend churches that preach Christian values and virtues in order to obtain eternal life in Heaven.
Sadly, the same blacks are surrendering their individual rights, liberties, and freedoms to people of Bernie Sanders’ ilk who are creating an eternal hell for them, here on Earth.
