US taxpayer funds should go toward the constitutional functions of the government. I find it rather disturbing when taxpayers fund ideological agendas. And that is what we have when you think about the funding of the organization, Planned Parenthood. This past weekend, Planned Parenthood released its fiscal 2017-2018 report, to little hoopla. Sure, there are going to be progressive socialist leftists who will say that Roe v. Wade made what Planned Parenthood constitutional, law of the land. My response would be, the Supreme Court does not make law, it only interprets it, and a decision by activist judges, based upon an ideological agenda, should concern us all. After all, how can you claim that it is legal, acceptable, to take the life of one as a right? When someone murders a pregnant woman, they are charged with two homicides . . . puzzling huh?
The practice of murdering unborn babies as a means of birth control is medieval, and yes, immoral. To coin killing an unborn child, even past the sixth month, as “reproductive healthcare” is absurd. To claim it is a reproductive right is disingenuous. It is infanticide.
Funny, I wonder if Gillette believes that my care, concern, and love for the most vulnerable in our society, our unborn children is evidence of toxic masculinity? Yes, I fully support women’s reproductive health, I support research and the eradication of cervical, ovarian, uterine, breast cancers along with the issue with fibroid tumors . . . which my wife Angela once had.
Obviously, I do not have the same meaning as those who operate Planned Parenthood. I also have a tad bit of an issue with an organization founded by a white supremacist and racist, who spoke at Ku Klux Klan rallies. Consider the evident fact that Margaret Sanger viewed someone like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as an “undesirable” and a “weed.” But, this is all cool with the political party of slavery, segregation, Jim Crow, poll taxes, literacy tests, and lynchings . . . the Democrat Party.
That is why we can never speak of defunding Planned Parenthood, lest you incur the wrath of the leftist progressives. Never forget, since Roe v. Wade, nearly 18M black babies have been murdered in the womb, and some 70% of Planned Parenthood clinics are in minority communities.
As reported by Townhall:
“Planned Parenthood released its annual report for the 2017-2018 fiscal year quietly over the weekend. The report revealed that the number of abortions the group did this past year increased by over 11,000 from 321,384 in 2016 to 332,757.
Another number that increased in their annual report was the amount of federal funding the nation’s largest abortion provider received. The group received $543.7 million in taxpayer funding in 2016 and that number increased by $20 million to $563.8 million in 2017-2018.
While the number of abortions and the number of taxpayer dollars the abortion group received both increased, almost every other category of the group’s services went down.
The amount of contraception that the group provided continued to plummet from 2,701,866 in 2016 to 2,620,867 in this report.
Cancer screenings and prevention services also continued to go down from 660,777 in 2016 to 614,361.
The category of “Other Women’s Health Services” which includes pregnancy tests, prenatal services, and miscarriage care, decreased from 1,315,941 in 2016 to 1,302,460 in 2017-2018.
The abortion group’s reported number of patients held steady at 2.4 million, the same amount as in the 2015 and 2016 reports. While the number of patients is the same, the organization’s excess of revenue over expenses continued its dramatic increase and more than doubled from $77.5 million in 2015 and $98.5 million in 2016 to a whopping $244.8 million in 2017.”
Now, let’s be honest: can someone explain to me how a private sector not-for-profit organization gets federal taxpayer dollars and runs a $244.8M surplus? Why is it that Planned Parenthood is not out there like pro-life organizations holding events to raise money? After all organizations like Vitae and CareNet pregnancy centers are also nonprofit. What is it that makes Planned Parenthood this sacred cow? Again, this is an organization founded by a white supremacist and racist.
Please, do not try to sell me on the familiar line that Planned Parenthood provides other services. The federal government already funds health clinics, publicly run clinics, that provide for women’s healthcare needs. Why are we, American taxpayers, funding a not-for-profit, private sector organization that is running a $244.8M profit?
Doggone, how many pro-life organizations in America are running a $244.8M profit? I doubt there are any. Heck, most of them are struggling to provide their services . . . to save the lives of unborn children. Ask yourselves, which is a more noble cause? To kill unborn babies . . . or to save them? One would think that our elected officials would not hesitate to end this charade of doling out $563.8M in US taxpayer funding to the heinous procedure used to kill unborn babies . . . Yet, that is what is being done.
Will I take heat for this stance if I ever run for elected office again, doggone right. However, I do support a woman’s choice when it comes to those three caveats — rape, incest, and verified threat to her life. No one should interject in that case, that is a very personal decision. But, to support the killing of unborn babies as a means of birth control, well, as stated, that is not noble and I am happy to receive the heat. I would much rather have my position, than that of Barack Obama who championed legislation as a State Senator in Illinois that condemned a child to death even if the baby survived an abortion procedure. Hey Gillette, that is toxic masculinity because real men love babies, children, and would never think of hurting one, certainly not killing a beautiful, innocent child.Hey @Gillette, that is toxic masculinity because real men love babies, children, and would never think of hurting one, certainly not killing a beautiful, innocent child. It appears to me that the rituals and orders of the god Moloch, the Egyptian Pharoah, and Herod are being carried out today in America, and across the world. It is a well-funded movement, killing unborn babies. Heck, George Soros funded the fight against Ireland’s Eighth Amendment . . . and he was successful. The Eighth Amendment in Ireland stated that abortion was only permissible when there was a risk to the life of the pregnant woman. Thanks to George Soros’ efforts, and those of leftists, you can now kill unborn babies on demand in Ireland, as the Eighth Amendment was repealed. It just provided protection to our most vulnerable, who have no voice, but certainly can feel pain.
Do you want to tell me that what George Soros did was noble? Nah, he is a walking example of toxicity.
Just so you know, I will not relent until there is no federal taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood, and all their clinics in minority communities are shut down. And yes, I want our unborn to be protected. If you disagree, fine, but at least I can look at myself in the mirror.
