Oh Boy, Vladimir Putin is at it Again

Look, I will be very blunt here: I do not trust, nor do I care for, Vladimir Putin. Honestly, yeah, we should seek to have good relations with other nations. However, there comes a time when ya just gotta realize some folks are just buttheads, and you aren’t going to make a difference. Remember I wrote a piece a while ago talking about the language of dictators? There is only one way to speak with these cheeky fellas — Xi Jinping, Hasan Rouhani, Kim Jong Un, and Vladimir Putin. You have to realize that when their lips are moving, it means they are lying. When it comes to these types of individuals, it is all about their actions, not their rhetoric. And, if you truly want their attention, well, it is about your actions as well.

Case in point, as reported by the Algemeiner:

“Officials from Gaza Strip-based Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) met on Tuesday with Russian officials in Moscow, drawing concern from Israel.

A delegation led by PIJ Deputy Secretary-General Ziad al-Nakhla and other senior leaders, including Mohammed al-Hindi and Anwar Abu Taha, first arrived in the Russian capital on Monday.

During an “in-depth and lengthy” meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov the following day, PIJ officials emphasized the importance of Palestinian national reconciliation and their opposition to the Trump administration’s efforts to broker an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal, the Islamist group shared in a statement.

Bogdanov — who also serves as Russian President Vladimir Putin’s special envoy for the Middle East and Africa — said in turn that Palestinian factions need to unify under the umbrella of the Palestine Liberation Organization in order to establish an independent state, according to a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Designated as a terrorist organization by the United States and more than 30 other countries, PIJ has previously expressed opposition to peace negotiations with Israel and called for its replacement with an Islamic Arab state. It regularly frames its mission as a religious struggle against Jews.

A spokesperson for the Israeli Foreign Ministry told The Algemeinerfollowing PIJ’s talks in Russia that Israel was “opposed to any meetings with people or organizations advocating Israel’s destruction.”

I fully concur with that final statement. But, this is consistent with Russia’s closer ties with the Islamist dictator, leader of Turkey, Recip Tayyip Erdogan, who is seeking arms deals with the Russians. As well, Erdogan has proven himself a sympathizer to the Islamic jihadist cause, and is a virulent anti-Semite. One needs to ask: if Putin were serious about better relations with the United States, why are his government officials meeting with individuals on the terrorist list? I, for one, am not surprised, as we all know that Russia — Putin — is a close ally with the #1 State sponsor of Islamic terrorism, Iran.

I know that President Trump seeks to build a relationship with these fellas. He brings a business, private sector style, and approach, believing that you can negotiate with anyone. Hmm, some folks you cannot, and I am not advocating war. You know, that is the false narrative that some will immediately throw out there if you are not willing to talk to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse — Putin, Jinping, Rouhani, and Un.

What would I do? Easy: undermine their respective economies, and diplomatically isolate them, along with strengthening regional military alliances and exercises on the Korean peninsula, in eastern Europe, and the Middle East.  I would honestly start looking at where we could reposition our military assets that are in Turkey. I would be talking to the Greeks, Jordanians, and Cypriots (Cyprus). It is imperative that we continue to experience this domestic economic growth, and export our energy resources at this critical time. Energy resources are a vital aspect of our national security.

This is a major game of international chess, and we need to ensure we are putting the opposition in an untenable position. And, yes, I think it is time we had open conversations with Taiwan. I see no reason why a communist dictator like Xi Jinping should dictate to us, the United States, who we have as friends and allies. Of course, there are those who say that is too provocative of a move. Well, what the heck do you call Russia meeting with Palestinian Islamic jihadists who are on our terrorist list?

I give President Trump much credit for how he has restored American strength in our foreign policy. I also give him much credit for trying to engage with these despots and dictators, but, in the end, they are still despots and dictators who only comprehend strength, will, determination, resolve, and might.
