While All Eyes Were on the Coronavirus . . .

I know that we are still very focused on the coronavirus. It’s funny that Dr. Birx admitted that all deaths are being classified as COVID-19 deaths. But, let’s not forget the virus of Islamic jihadism that still looms and lurks about, as we have encountered in a place I know very well.

As reported by Jihad Watch:

“A stabbing suspect who was shot and killed after fatally stabbing three women and hospitalizing a fourth at a Knoxville truck stop early Tuesday has been identified by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. The deceased suspect, Idris Abdus-Salaam, 33, was a truck driver from Durham, North Carolina.

The three deceased victims were all employed at the Pilot Travel Center on Strawberry Plains Pike. They have been identified as:

Joyce Whaley, 57
Patricia Denise Nibbe, 51
Nettie R. Spencer, 41

The fourth victim, who was a customer, remains hospitalized.

The report of a stabbing at the truck stop at 7210 Strawberry Plains Pike was made just before 7 a.m.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed three female victims were fatally stabbed and another woman was taken to a nearby hospital. The condition of the hospitalized individual is unknown at the time.

The male stabbing suspect, Abdus-Salaam, was shot and killed by law enforcement, TBI spokesperson Leslie Earhart said. Upon arrival, officers observed at least one person with stab wounds outside of the store. A man, armed with a knife and identified by witnesses as the suspect, was also observed in the parking lot.

Officers confronted the individual who refused to drop the weapon. At some point during the encounter, one of the officers fired shots, striking the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene….”

This is Holy Week, and sundown this evening starts Passover. I know that there are going to be the detractors who will cry aloud “Islamophobia.” I do not respond to these Islamapologists who dismiss anything, truth, that makes them uncomfortable.

Let me remind y’all of the Islamic State’s call to violence from September 2004:

“So O muwahhid, do not let this battle pass you by wherever you may be. You must strike the soldiers, patrons, and troops of the tawaghit. Strike their police, security, and intelligence members, as well as their treacherous agents. Destroy their beds. Embitter their lives for them and busy them with themselves. If you can kill a disbelieving American or European — especially the spiteful and filthy French — or an Australian, or a Canadian, or any other disbeliever from the disbelievers waging war, including the citizens of the countries that entered into a coalition against the Islamic State, then rely upon Allah, and kill him in any manner or way however it may be….If you are not able to find an IED or a bullet, then single out the disbelieving American, Frenchman, or any of their allies. Smash his head with a rock, or slaughter him with a knife, or run him over with your car, or throw him down from a high place, or choke him, or poison him….”

Why would a truck driver just randomly stab to death three women working at the Pilot Travel Center in Tennessee? And why would this individual, 33-year-old Idris Abdus-Salaam, refuse to drop his weapon, preferring to be shot to death? Yes, I think y’all can answer those inquiries very well. In this Holy Week, someone believing themselves to be a Mujaheddin would seek out greater status of Shaheed for taking the lives of unbelievers, infidels, kaffirs.

We are all seeking to stay safe and healthy. I only admonish us all to also be vigilant and aware so as to not make ourselves easy targets.  in these times when the progressive socialist left would prefer to disarm law-abiding, legal gun-owning Americans…I must ask, why were these women not allowed to be armed?

God bless the families of, and may the souls of Joyce Whaley, Patricia Denise Nibbe, and Nettie R. Spencer, Tennessee women, Americans, find rest.
