Yes, I know, the progressive socialist left, and the liberal progressive media are still in apoplectic meltdown number 247. The Helsinki hysteria continues, but there are other fish to fry, and we need to stay focused on the issue of illegal immigration. You know, that whole topic where the left wants open borders and the abolishing of our Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency? Well, while many are still frothing about the Trump-Putin summit, this is what happened.
As reported by CNS News:
“Mexican national and two-time deportee Andres Avelino Anduaga was sentenced on July 13 to 37 months in federal prison for stealing over $350,000 in government benefits – federal, state, and local — while impersonating an American citizen for over 30 years, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California. In addition to his 37-month sentence, Aduaga was ordered to repay $360,908.85 in restitution to the Social Security Administration, the California Department of Health Care Services and the County of San Diego. “In 1980, Anduaga used a birth certificate belonging to a United States citizen to obtain a California Driver’s License and a Social Security card,” said the U.S. Attorney’s Office in a statement. “Already a convicted felon, Anduaga used his new identity to commit a variety of crimes over the next 22 years.” As he admitted in his plea agreement, Anduaga used a stolen identity to apply for disability benefits from the Social Security Administration in 1989. The U.S. Attorney’s Office reported that “Anduaga received almost $250,000 in Social Security benefits that he was not entitled to receive through 2016.” As a result of the Social Security benefits, Anduaga was also able to get MediCal health benefits that further cost the taxpayers of California more than $100,000. “Even after his Social Security was terminated in 2016, Anduaga signed up for CalFresh/Supplemental Nutrition (SNAP) benefits and continued to receive those benefits right up until his arrest in November 2017,” reported the Attorney’s Office. In addition to his “Theft of Public Property,” U.S. District Judge John Houston also sentenced Anduaga for living in the United States illegally.”
Okay, a two-time deportee? How many times was Kate Steinle’s killer deported? What state did both of those criminal illegal immigrants call home? Isn’t that the same state that is a declared sanctuary for illegal immigrants? What party runs that State? And, which political party wants to abolish ICE? Oh yeah, what State has the highest state personal income tax rate in America?
Yes, I could go on ad nauseam, but I will end it there. How did we get to this point, and what are we supposed to do about it?
We must come to the realization that the crimes committed by Avelino Andauaga are against the hard-working American people. What he represents is a complete, and total, lack of regard and respect for our rule of law, as well as our mandatory spending programs. Heck, but should we blame Anduaga? After all, he is seeking his very own progressive socialist “participation trophy” — getting something for doing absolutely nothing.
Now ponder this question, how much of this is happening all over California? Oops, I gave away the answer to the previously mentioned questions. But, not just in California, but everywhere we have the leftist progressives pushing their agenda of open borders and sanctuary cities? After all, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has advocated for an identification card for residents, not citizens. And now Chicago is joining Stockton, California to promote the insidious idea of a universal basic income . . . more participation trophies. Now, will this “free” money go to those here illegally? Guess who is paying for the free money, just like who was paying for Avelino Anduaga’s lucrative little financial fraud scheme?
If we were to abolish ICE, then who would be out there to investigate these crimes, which I would assert are quite prevalent? I am sure if we were to really look into fraudulent use of the earned income tax credit, we may be rather astonished. If we were to abolish ICE, who would be out there to investigate these crimes? Let me make a clear statement: individuals here in these United States of America illegally, should not be receiving any taxpayer-funded benefits. Of course, our dear misguided leftist detractors will fly off the handle, but just a simple perusal of Mexico’s laws on immigration should be heeded. You do not get to immigrate into Mexico unless you can prove economic independence. Certainly you are not going to immediately go onto the government doll there. I applaud US District Court Judge John Houston who sentenced Anduaga for the crime of “living in the United States illegally.” That sets a precedent, one would presume, but not in the eyes of the progressive socialist left who hold legal decisions are only affirmation of their ideological agenda.
What is “illegal” about Illegal Immigration? Yes, correct, everything. Anyone seeking to defend it, well, the left is throwing around the world treason quite a bit this week. Does seeking to undermine the national sovereignty of the United States constitute said offense?
